Senor Tequila Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Fremont

I have been here several times and I was hoping that the experience would improve but it hasn't. This particular visit seriously lacked in the service department. Server took about 15 minutes, actual time, not over exaggeration, to bring a pitcher of strawberry margaritas. It was peach colored at best, and I confirmed that it was in fact, strawberry, to which he said yes. You can take a look at the photo yourself and tell me if that looks like strawberry margaritas to you. The server hardly checked on us, and the cook is the one that brought out our food. My friend had to walk up to the bar to grab a refill of soda for her daughter that sat empty for quite a while and asked for additional strawberry flavor, and then he tells her that he's out of strawberry. She asked for watermelon flavor instead and he tried to give us very minimal syrup until my friend asked for more. Even after that, still tasted like a lime margarita with light flavoring.

Not impressed with the lack of urgency. For a while it was just 2 other tables besides us in here so him being too busy was not an excuse. We requested our checks and it took well over 15 minutes to bring it to us

The bathroom was missing toilet paper in the stalls as well as paper towels for hand washing.

The only positive is that the nachos are good, but it does feel like the portion size is getting a bit smaller than it used to be.

I think this might be my last attempt to get a good experience from this place. It's a shame because I really did try multiple times. There are plenty of other Mexican joints in Des Moines that are worth a visit...

From start to finish I had great service from my waitress and other workers in the restuarant, they treated me well so 5 stars for them 👏 salsa at Mexican restaurants can go one of two ways, salsa or marinara sauce, and unfortunately this salsa tasted more on the marinara side. As for my meal I ordered the enchiladas verdes with a side of beans and I'm most critical on the rice and beans which I can gladly say that they tasted perfectly fine! The enchiladas were really good as well, plenty of salsa verde so they weren't dry at all. The star of the show... the 26oz frozen lime margarita! They did not skimp out on the tequila whatsoever 😂 I'm still feeling it well after 30mins in my hotel room writing this review. Overall I really enjoyed this place, would go back again if I'm ever...

The food was good but the waiter obviously didn't speak much English. He took my friend's order cuz she was basically pointing at the menu and asking questions..... which he gave weird answers to. Then I just told him what I wanted when it was my turn. He brought my friend's order and she was half thru eating but my order never came! Then he came over and asked if everything was okay???? Ummmm......noOoo. I asked him where my order was and he acted surprised that I ordered food. Then he brought me the menu again & I had to point to what I wanted. NOT a good visit & I probably won't go back cuz they don't understand...
