If I could give this location zero stars I would. The problem was an easy solvable issue that was blown up because of the unprofessionalism of the workers. The issue began when I requested my chalupa be made fresh stating I have no problem with waiting since it doesn’t taste the same when it’s been fried over a hour or more prior to being used. A simple request that has been completed at other locations with no problem. I witnessed with my own eyes one of the workers grab an old chalupa from their work area and put it in the fryer to warm it up as if it was new. I tried to get the attention of another worker but was ignored, so I waited until my order was handed to me to let them know I had watched and know that the chalupa wasn’t fresh. At this time the manager comes over and touches the chalupa and said it is fresh because it was warm. I told her that it was a chalupa that was already cooked I don’t know how long ago and re-fried for 30 seconds so it’s warm but would only stay that way for less than a minute; it’s like warming food in the microwave but worst because its re-frying food which should never been done. The manager loudly proclaims that we don’t have microwaves here intentionally being obtuse to what I was saying. I didn’t think it was possible but I was gaslighted by saying that the chalupa was fresh than presented with another chalupa that was done exactly the same way. I’ve never been gaslit by a fast food worker let alone a manager. At this point I didn’t want to make a scene so I requested the store managers information and when he/she would be in so they can check the cameras and rectify the situation to which I was thrown a torn receipt with the store phone number on it. This location should be looked into by health inspectors because I know they are in violation of many regulations with how bold and brazen they were to dismiss me when it could be easily proven that they were in violation of...
Read moreSystemic discrimination policy at this store ——— Worst experience at a taco bell by the manager Olivia. After placing the mobile order when I arrived at restaurant, first no one was coming to talk to me. When the manager was passing by, I asked her to verify if my order was being prepared and if I can get the cup for the soda I ordered. She grunted and walked away to the cooking line. When my order was ready, I asked for some hot and mild sauces. She “threw” some in the bag. When I asked for more, her response was “no more”.
When I go to any restaurant, I expect a decent service. I definitely don’t expect a lousy one, especially from the manager. The owners need to do something about the friendliness of their employees.
—-update I wrote the above review immediately after the incident. Only later on I realized that the employee was not upset at me because of anything, she was just because of my skin (Indian). A white woman before me was given so many sauce packets, she actually had to stop them and tell them to give less. After I was done eating, walking to the soda fountain for a refill, I saw at a table where a white couple was sitting and just left. To my surprise, they had at least 20 hot sauces left over after their meal. When I came home and told my family, I got similar story from my son and wife who went to this same Taco Bell about a week earlier. They had ask for more sauces 2-3 times because they would only give them few sauces at a time. It appears as though you must be non-Indian to get proper service and more sauces...
Read more2nd Review: The Taco Bell My Cravings Box is $5 online and on their TV advertisements, but this location sells it for $7.99 when ordering online or in the app for this location. Kind of a big difference at 60% more. The Grimmer location which is also in Fremont sells it for $6.99. I can understand maybe an additional $1 in cost over national/state advertised prices but $2-3 more is too much.
Update: this location drive through is experimenting its slow food concept. 10 whole minutes to serve two cars? Did they order tacos for the entire neighborhood? The amount of gas I burned waiting for my taco already paid for it. Food was also cold when I got it, way to rub salt in the wound.
1st Review: This location is convenient but aside from that not much is redeeming about it. I wrote to Taco Bell corporate regarding a complaint I had and also did not receive any response. Get it...
