New Nilgiri Cash & Carry — Restaurant in Fremont

So my first ever negative review to this store . I am kinda person who would not complaint about anything until it’s really bad experience.

I bought like 2 dozen of samosas from them for my guests and it turned out every single one of piece was stale and tasted like gone bad for days . I did not get time to go back to same day since I had guests staying over at my place so I called the store next day and they started arguing this can’t be true because they sell the bestest and freshest samosas in the bay and people even buy 200 pieces and they never complained.

So Sir even if I buy 2 pieces you are not supposed to sell old and stale goods for gods sake and give food poisoning to your customers . And please mind your tone and give you customers some respect that they trusted your service and in return you started screaming .

The Worst...

Very expensive place. Mike 8.59, curd 4.50, , onions 2.50, rices and daals and rotis .. all are about 10 to 20% more expensive than other stores. They have Very small stock of vegetables and that too not fresh. And the store is never kept clean. Rotting mangoes in the front , boxes of indian sweets with fungus on them. Also the owner is rude. Never takes anything back when it’s rotten or expired. After lots of arguments He only gives store credit. So many options in Fremont....

In this age of inflated prices everywhere, the prices of veggies in this grocery store are atrocious. Safeway grocery is cheaper, thats saying something. Organic milk costs $10.79 (more than the most expensive 7-11 store). Every item I bought is overpriced. Stay away from this rip-off place, please. There are other grocery stores in the neighborhood with way better prices for the same quality of produce. Very disappointed n angry !! Am never...
