My apologies for the late review , I had food here way back in February when I accompanied my son from Tracy for a STEM competition at Fresno ; After a lot of internet searching, I landed there at a time when it was technically closed ; I entered and got a response they are closed for serving ; I said I came in from 100 miles away ; So, the couple gladly accommodated and got me seated ; I ordered their Veg Thali ; The lady addressed me with the Indian customary " Bhaya " all the time meaning Big Bro which showed cultural sensitivity; In comes the Thali ; Let me tell the readers here ; I am a connoisseur of food and a very staunch critic ; I know what good means ; Never ever in my experience in any restaurant have I scooped up the entire thali ( I don't have a big stomach to be honest ); Except for 1 small portion of the Tandoori roti which i couldn't eat and took away with me ;I cleaned up everything ; Paneer - 5.1 of 5 , Seems the paneer itself was made in house absolutely soft , and steaming hot with just the right portions of spices; Dry Mixed Veg - 5.1 of 5, correct oil and spices and just the right softness that still retained the crispy texture Daal - 4.5 of 5 - ( 0.5 less because it was cold, i think he forgot to heat that but i didn't ask him and neither complained about it ) Gulab Jamun - 4.8 of 5 , Amazing Tandoori Roti - Crisp , fresh but at the same time soft and chewable Other items - Rocked as well including the rice and salad
You guys rock and keep up the good quality , I will visit again if I am...

First we asked them to remove the nuts from Paneer because we had allergies. They were not happy about that, I had to ask the waiter 3 times to check if you guys put nuts in the Paneer. Finally she checked and was like “yes we do put nuts”. Then they removed them, that was fine.
At the end for desert we ordered Mango Ice-Cream. We asked the waitress can you please check if there are no eggs in the ice cream, and verbally she ensured me that there is eggs or nuts in the Ice-Cream.
Once the Ice-Cream was served, I took 2 bites and I started getting allergy reactions. My throat was drying up and honestly my night went terrible with stomach aches and sore throats. If I had eaten more than 2 bites than I could’ve had more severe reactions.
Finally we exposed them, and then the guy was like “are you guys strictly vegan or something” because he kept saying it’s not that big of a deal. We made him go to the back and check the ingredients and he came back and said there is “egg yolk” in it.
They weren’t even apologetic or anything, and we cut this restaurant off the lists. It’s 2022, you should know the ingredients in your food and if you don’t then don’t tell us there is no eggs or nuts. Or just be like, we are unsure, the risk is up to you. Problem was that they verbally ensured us there was no eggs.
If you have allergies, please just check quadrupole check with this restaurant because they don’t take...
Read moreSo I'm an American CNA certified nurse's assistant. My boss is Punjabi. Together we make quite the team. I am a personal assistant life manager for a very very busy and over worked man. He loves to eat Indian food obviously. I don't want to say any names but I went to approximately three other restaurants they were all tasty. However when my boss said after we go to Costco we will go to this restaurant that is very close by called bay leaf Indian cuisine restaurant for dinner. After that evening I made a promise to myself that if I eat any Indian cuisine it will only be either cooked by myself at home or it will be at Bay Leaf Indian Restaurant.!! The Head Chef is 100% dedicated and spiritually and emotionally involved with each and every dish that he plates. I mean every item that I have eaten and I've eaten many almost all, have been a number 10 for everything. I can't say enough about how wonderful the cuisine is that comes out of that kitchen. The chef is putting a "Touch of India" and a sprinkle of the "Spirit of Punjabi Spices". This Chef's intimate attention to each individual dish, satisfies the pallet, warms the soul, and blesses you with the experience of Historic Indian Cuisine. As an American I can not only taste, but I can feel the Love. Note to the Chef...."Thank you for sharing your flavors...
