As someone who genuinely loves Tioga and everything it stands for, this is hard to write—but it needs to be said.
My friends in Ari$ and D.A.T.E. have been trying to bring their energy, sound, and love for the community to Tioga, but the booking process has been shockingly frustrating. And at the center of it all is Breezy.
Tioga has built a name for supporting the local scene and being a pillar of downtown culture—which is exactly why so many of us have backed it for years. But the way Breezy is handling things lately sends the opposite message. She told both Ari$ and D.A.T.E. that Tioga was booked solid through fall—only for other acts to get added to the schedule just weeks out. That’s not just unprofessional—that’s straight-up dishonest.
And it’s not the first red flag. Last time we actually had a show booked, we made flyers, spread the word, and had a huge crowd ready to pull up. Friends, fans, community—all excited to support. Then Breezy pulled the plug. No real explanation. No attempt to reschedule. Just canceled.
At this point, it’s hard not to feel like these bands are being singled out or outright shut out. When it happens once, it’s frustrating. When it happens again—and again—it starts to feel targeted.
It wasn’t always like this. When Maddie was handling bookings, everything felt transparent and respectful. You could tell she actually cared about the scene. Now? It feels like there’s a gatekeeper more interested in controlling access than building community. Breezy either needs to step up or step out—because she’s standing in the way of what Tioga used to represent.
We want to see Ari$ and D.A.T.E. on that stage—not just because they’ve earned it, but because they’re bringing something real and local that this scene needs. And Tioga should be the kind of place that celebrates that—not blocks it.
We’re still rooting for Tioga to get back to what made it special. But it’s time for some...

This isn’t the first time there’s been an issue, either. When Ari$ tried to book before, it got so unnecessarily messy that management had to step in. It shouldn’t be this difficult for two talented local bands to get a fair shot at a venue that claims to support the very scene they’re trying to uplift.
Back when Maddie was handling things, it was professional, clear, and community-oriented. Now it feels like there’s a gatekeeper more interested in playing favorites than building culture. Breezy either needs to seriously rethink her role—or hand it off to someone who understands what Tioga is supposed to represent.
