You can't get the birthday grand slam without having the app the year before I didn't have the app I went in for my birthday grand slam breakfast but they told me they didn't do it no more but they did only thing is you got to download the apk or register on their website and sign up. So the next year I did and when I got there I guess they have to scan a barcode off your phone, except the scanner was broken, and there's no other way you can get your breakfast Grand slam unless he had the barcode scanned with the scanner and the scanner wasn't working. Fortunately the register clerk I had gotten was nice enough to give me the Grand slam breakfast anyway which shows her character has common courtesy and good human Nature and kindness. My birthday was in November, couple months later in January it was my wife's birthday, we went back to the same Denny's and she had the apk and barcode only problem was the scanner was still broken, and this time they just kept telling us to go to another Denny's which is 10 miles down the road and the barcode was good for the whole month and scanner never got replaced so my wife never got her grandslam. when the first time I went and they told me they didn't give grand slams anymore I still stayed and paid $20 for two plates. Then the $5 tip. The server was amazing, he has been there forever and always has a smile on his face treats everyone with respect and checks on people to ensure they have a good experience. I have been coming to this Dennys since I was a teenager and I am turning 50 this year, never in all these years have I seen or heard a manager speak to the employees in such a rude and disrespectful manner. The manager Lisa needs to attend a management training class or be fired for her words and actions today. I was extremely irritated with how she talked to the server and cook during my lunch especially cause they’re such good people. Read moreWe didn't get all the way in the door before the nightshift manager accused us of parking in a handicap spot, going on about it before understanding that the car parked in the handicap spot wasn't even ours. Then asked us to pick a seat. After we ordered, we attempted a decent conversation but we were interrupted yet again by the manager yelling about taking breaks and clocking out even though they are unable to take a real break and then take their actual break later? Every person that came in, she yelled about them parking in the handicap spot.
