Finally went to Dutch Bros. Coffee for the first time the other day -- even though its only a block from where I live. I went on the recommendation of another neighbor.
I drive by the place all the time and am pretty amazed at how LONG the line of cars is for the drive thru just about every time I drive by, Since I hate to wait in lines (there are so many better things to do in life) I would never consider the drive thru.... and yes the cars were backed up pretty far the morning of my visit so I went to the walk-up window.
There were just a few of us in line at the window for foot traffic. I was pretty amazed to see that 6 people were working in that little kiosk which is approx 10 x 18 ft.
I noted that just about everyone ordered a flavored drink and recommended I do likewise. I do like flavored coffees but my goto drink at Starbucks is just a small cup of coffee (Verona) - so to be fair in my coffee comparison I just ordered small coffee.
The coffee was fresh made, hot... really HOT, and strong. I liked the coffee well enough but doubt that I will become a regular... if for no other reason, because of the WAIT.
With Starbucks app allowing customers to order ahead of time and simply pick up I would rather drive a couple of extra blocks to Starbucks and avoid the hassle of waiting in line. If Dutch Bros. had a similar app I would consider going more often... but for now... for plain coffee... I will stick...
Read moreOnly reason I’m giving 3 stars because the shift lead supervisor on Saturday; September 7, 2024 at around 1422 was able to address the issue I encountered with one of the team members.
The team member had been very rude then making a comment as I rolled my window up, thinking I would not hear but little did the lady know my daughter, my sister, & I heard the lady make her smart remark.
Very poor customer service on that lady’s end. From the start when I ordered, the lady had been rude, rushing myself to order.
My sister could even hear how she was speaking to myself while I ordered & my sis was on the phone via Bluetooth in my car.
My daughter being 9 yrs old noticed & did not appreciate the demeanor this team member had approached myself.
To make it better the lady did not even have my order correct, she clearly put down what she wanted without even reading back my order before I paid.
This is the whole reason why I am giving 1 star for the service.
As for the atmosphere I am giving 2 stars thank you to the shift lead supervisor. She was willing to scan my app to give myself a free drink due to the poor customer service I encountered.
So just a heads up if you encounter the same problem make sure to ask to speak to the manager or supervisor so hopefully the hospitality will...

Like sugar free rebel and all sugar free syrups. Went back for a remake. The barista told me he guaranteed it was sugar free. When I decided to take a sip it was all sugar my sugar rasied to 300 it literally took me 2 hrs to make it back to normal rang. Contacted dutch online and they told me the checked the camera's and they made it all sugar free. But I dont understand how they know what time I went to do a remake and how all of a sudden my sugar decided to raise even if I didn't have anything to eat or dink in between that time.
