Figaro's Méxican Grill — Restaurant in Fresno

I went here with my friend for an early dinner when i was in town it was our first time. First impression was great as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the sweetest guy at the register i wish i had gotten his name! he recommended certain dishes and was very patient while we figured out what we wanted. He had an awesome personality! Love the salsa bar, fresh yummy tea, we both got steak taco and cheese enchilada plate. the cheese enchilada was yummy, i actually scooped up all the cheese and sauce left with my chips lol..the rice super flavor full, the only thing i didn’t like was the beans on the taco but i’ve e never been a fan of beans in a taco just not my jam...chips were really good and it was fun getting to try all of the different salsas. Oh and i must say our food came out very fast and hot and fresh!!! The dining room immaculate and they clean the tables up asap i didn’t see any tables dirty after people left for more than a few seconds literally. My manager came back with a cup from this place and I asked him about it. He mentioned that he got the Chile Verde nachos and the portion was huge he couldn't finish it and that it was BOMB. I came here and right off the bat the place wasn't busy but the staff was kind and on point with their service. The salsa are very good and have more than flavor, they actually have a kick compared to most places. The horchata tasted a bit different from others that I have tried and not in a bad way at all I'm picky with horchata and I must say I enjoyed theirs, price was a bit hefty for it (2.81 for I believe 16 oz) but the good thing about it is they have you put in the ice so you control the amount of ice. I got the grilled burrito done vegetarian. I'm giving it 4 stars because they messed up on my ordered and put meat in it. It was an honest mistake so I'm not going under 4 stars but I've had less severe mistakes at other places and have had complimentary accommodations. My reviews are focused on gluten free dining. We like Figaro's. The food is similar to Chipotle, but more varied, with specials that cycle through. I can eat the bowls and they have corn tortillas. I like the real plates and silverware and glass drinking glasses even though you order at a counter. You serve yourself, and refill at the soda machine, and there is a self-serve salsa bar. They bring your food out to your table, and clear it after you leave, so you get some "upgrades" from fast food, but don't need to tip a waitress. It is clean and has nice comfortable decor, rather than being an echo-y industrial space. The staff has been helpful in figuring out what's safe (gluten free) for me.
