A group of us went to Ole Frijole on Blackstone in Fresno on August 30, 2022. We were extremely disappointed with the quality of food on the buffet line along with the desserts.
The food was tasteless- everything had a bland taste.
There was very little business during dinner time. Only six tables of customers..........
The lettuce was very warm and the salad dressing were thinned out and tasteless.
The enchiladas were flavorless and had nothing but cheese inside of them.
The fried chicken was tasteless also and seemed artificial.
The tacos were under the heat lamp for such a long time that they were flavorless.
DON'T EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AS IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY AND HAD FOOD THAT I WOULDN'T EVEN FEED TO MY DOG!
The only positive comment is that the bus lady was very efficient and picked up our dirty plates consistently and promptly! The buffet line employee was very apparent and consistently replenished the food even though the food was absolutely horrible.
Ole Frijole deserves a ONE STAR due to all the reasons above!
I have been in the restaurant business for nearly 50 years and would not recommend this...
Read moreI would like to start by saying the staff are Amazing. They are very kind and courteous. my son has Down syndrome and is picky about food and where he sits and they always go above and beyond for him. we have never received this type of accommodations from any other place no matter how loyal of Customers we are and any parent of special needs knows how difficult it can be to go out because of this. My parents and I have been going here since i was a kid. now i take my children and they also love it. Still our favorite place to eat especially, since there really isn’t any Mexican buffets around. Whatever Mexican food other buffets serve are pretty Americanized. Still tasty, but not genuine authentic Mexican food Like here. Anyhow, my parents are both from Mexico (later became citizens) and they love it too. We are very picky especially when it comes to Mexican food as we know what it’s suppose to taste like as we can make it ourselves. Sometimes it’s nice to get a break from cooking but still want good Mexican food. They have never let me down. FYI my late husband was Caucasian (white lol) and him and his mother...
Read moreA big disappointment today I must say. We went today as a family group of 7 today all the way from Sacramento CA on a family road trip and decided to stop by on the way since Sacramento CA once had one of these spots. We spent around $100 for the whole group. Must say I'm not sure if this place has changed ownership or what has happened. The salad bar was sure filled up and and the main dishes had lots of empty tubs. They are definitely serving up hot trash here for cheap quality tasting food. nasty as can be . would be better off going to taco bell or Pollo loco for what we spent and would of tasted alot better. This place has definitely lost its presence and prestige from the 80s and 90s. used to be the bomb back in the days. the women's bathroom was also badly out of shape and wouldn't flush. Definitely a sad ruined child hood memory for me this spot now.Save your money and...
