Havent come here in a long time...I received a couple of gift cards for my birthday so we decided to use one one day we came into town to do our shopping. A couple of things....
For starters, they offer outdoor dining which is great if you want to sit down and eat. The only problem is temperature is dropping due to winter is around the corner. We had dinner about 6pm ordered soup and hot tea but it was still too cold out there they really need to invest in some outdoor heat lamps as temperatures continue to decrease.
Next, it is dark in the evening they need to put some candles on the tables or have additional lighting. We were seated in between the buildings at the very last table it was just too dark
The food was ok. Its just about what I remember from the last time I ate there years ago. it's fine if you aren't a big food critic , great if you're a really hungry person that likes ordering endless dishes. I'm a picky foodie, I would rather make italian food at home.
Taking into consideration the food and the weather, my biggest pet peeve is customer service. I ordered a pepperoni pizza light on the sauce for my 8 year old. My husband and I had already had our salad, our soup, and had ordered another round of soup and she still hadn't gotten her pizza. When it arrived, what we got was a cheese pizza with extra cheese. So it had to go back so the kitchen could broil the pepperoni on it after they offered it on the side.
I understand what kind of food you are getting at a restaurant that serves endless dishes so I'm not really mad about that, but when you dont have a lot of seated customers there is just really not a lot of excuse to have the kid seated waiting for food while the adults have already eaten. The only saving grace was that my daughter really loved the chocolate mousse "dolcinis". They should serve that in a slightly larger serving I would not mind paying...
Read moreFamily and I had a very outstanding time at Olive Garden. The staff were not only charismatic and had a way with words, but they were also friendly and “quite frankly, bent over backwards to ensure that we had everything we needed from napkins to perpetual refills. They made sure to let us know if our food was taking a little bit longer and also insured that we got our appetizers first to stave off the hangriness we were feeling at the time.
As for the food itself, you can’t go wrong with Olive Garden with our Italian dishes, desserts, and excellent appetizers. I personally ordered shrimp Alfredo, which was cooked to perfection and I could taste the love dedication and effort. The chefs had put into the dish with each bite that I had taken. They also serve a unique selection of alcoholic beverages, which I unfortunately cannot experience as I’m only 20 years old at the time of me writing this review , but that’s besides the point. For people looking for non-alcoholic beverages, they have the usual selection of soft drinks, including zero sugar options for the health, conscious and diabetics among us.
As for the atmosphere, it is very cozy yet Romantic so whether you are a parent, wishing to take your family out for a nice occasion or just someone wanting to take that certain someone to someplace nice, this is definitely the place for you.
Lastly, I also wish to talk about the most important factor and that is its location. This particular Olive Garden is quite close to the city of Madera so if you so happen to live there, you will no longer have to worry about driving all the way to Fresno or any other city, Voss reducing the amount of gas and time you would spend having to get there. Read moreWe were seated rapidly even though they were busy. The service from Maria our waitress was fantastic. She constantly asked if there was anything that we could help us with and made sure to help order what we really wanted. She made suggestions to my Daughter who has always been a picky person. The dining area was filled and was loud so if your wanting a place quiet I would suggest that you order out from here rather then dine in. My compliments to the chef, you made a fantastic angel hair pasta, cooked evenly and not under or over cooked. The mushroom sauce was delicious with sautéed shrimp which was cooked just right. This was the right choice for my family of three for dinner. The payment was processed at our table with a small pos device which also offers games for entertainment while waiting. The food was prepared rather swiftly in about 20 minutes. Which was faster than expected due to the number of people dining-in. Over all I give this olive garden a solid 3.5 stars. It's not often I dine in but this place made me feel welcomed and comfortable. However when we arrived there was food on the ground at our table our waiter needed to remove. Also the plates she was to give us for salad needed to be switched out, which seems like a common issue from some things I've read in reviews. Over all it would have been full 4 stars if these two things hadn't occurred. Hope you guys enjoy.
As a final note the menu and the waitress mentioned alcoholic drinks, so of you like margaritas and noodles with a side salad...
