Robles Mexican Gril and Taqueria.... let me tell you, the "Grill" part in that name is no joke. The staff was patient and professional allowing my party of co workers and me to look over the menu. The staff ensured our drinks were filled by coming around to check on our drink status.
The food looked very Grilled. For instance one co worker ordered the Quesadilla and it looked grilled and fried crusty looking exterior flour tortillas. He said it was flavorful but oily and a little messy. My item was the Carne Asada Burrito. I cut in half, why not, a steak knife was provided for the cutlery place setting when when we were shown our table. The burrito assembly is how Taco Bell's "quesaritto"... with the Carne asada playing it's part in the eye in the center breaking down the long axis of the burrito. Amazing. The burrito had a constant taste with all the ingredients (Beans, rice, Cilantro and onions and last but least, Carne Asada).
I have to give this spot a 4 stars rating. The food and the service was great, however there was no show of support for Military or Veterans provided discount. Look.... I am looking out for my fellow bretheran and sister who have sacrificed a little of their liberty and freedom to serve the United States of America.. I see which businesses or service supports...
Read moreWe primarily order via Doordash, sometimes order pickup, and have gone in a few times, no matter what... chef's kiss! The quesobirras haven't been seeming as crunchy lately, and of course it's super greasy, but the flavors are spot on!
We LOVE SOUP, and they have so many! Chile relleno soup= delish, albondigas= delish. Burritos, guac, salsas, tacos, tostadas= all delish. Asada nachos....... My body almost left my body delish. Highly recommend Robles Mexican Grill, especially the soups. nom nom nom nom.
I took a star off on the service not due to in person experience, but delivery. It's doesn't matter what you write in the special request box, DO NOT expect it to be followed. Call in and ask if they will do it maybe. Also, they give you one little bag of chips, even if you request extra chips and say you are willing to pay more for more chips. I don't really care about this, but my husband will literally skip ordering from here simply because he wants more chips. :/
It seems the new location doesn't carry as many soups, which is a huge bummer as I love their caldo de res.
We were so disappointed when they stopped delivering to our area, but they have a new, closer location...

Coming from Australia, I'd heard there is very good Mexican food in Southern California, and Robles more than exceeded what I'd been hoping.
The service here is fast, efficient and very friendly, and the food here is excellent and great value: fresh made tortilla chips and salsa, fish and shrimp taco that was fresh, juicy and full of flavour (and for once thankfully not deep fried in batter!), brilliantly flavoured and textured sopes with carne asada, delicious cheese and fresh lettuce on top, horchata that was cold, tasty and not too sweet, and not forgetting the delicious flan to finish.
Thank you staff at Robles for a memorable dining experience that was just wonderful. Highly...
