I live nearby, and almost every time a certain tall and slender gentleman employee with a hat is there, I experience an altercation between him and a customer. It's one thing when there is legitimately a problem. It's another when an employee is being allowed to be so aggressive as he is, and allowed to threaten physical harm to customers, as I've seen him do regularly. Unless expressing intent to defend oneself against a would-be assailant, a clear threat to do physical harm to another is potentially a felony in CA. An employee doing so, as the face of a business, is pretty bad. And he loves having an audience and simultaneously treated other customers like we're all in a prison yard, so every other customer in the store gets to see and hear it. This is how you chase business away and keep it away. Grocery Outlet, the Prison Experience TM. Their bananas are a...
Read moreI've got some good deals here but this review pertains to my most recent grocery trip there. I usually don't buy bread there but I happen to get some cuz I ran out even though the bread here is the same price as all the other stores but what I didn't know is that the bread on their shelf is already expired or either one day away from expiration so by the very next day my bread was entirely moldy so be careful about buying bread eggs milk meat.. anything that's perishable here and even if you buy something off the shelf make sure to check the expiration date. You'll spend more money on gas and time driving back there to get $4 back on your bread then it's even worth so that's just money in the trash that I can't really afford to lose
Edit: the amount of trash both outside the store and inside the store is...
Read moreI typically would never write a review like this but for someone like me that does not know when they have to use a bathroom until it's too late and I wear a medical bracelet explaining my disability and they refused to let me utilize the bathroom which essentially kept me from finishing my shopping and peeing myself. According to California law you cannot in a establishment like this decline someone with a disability that is documented the use of a bathroom. Hopefully they don't get sued. I was then mocked by the 2 male employees there. This won't stop me from shopping there however they need to know the law. I was nice and respectful and even explained I have a disability and showed them they stated while laughing not my problem the owner will be here in a...
