The manager is a mouthy jerk. We paid 70.36 for take out and the quality and portions of food were simply lacking. I called to complain about the food because we expected better and the manager flat out told me "well you had a bad attitude anyway when you ordered". I drive all the way back and took the food back untouched. After arguing with the manger about our order he threatened to call the cops on me all because i asked another customer exiting if they found their food sufficient. I told him I've fought two foreign wars and i wasn't going to be threatened simply because he didn't want to deal with the problem. He still refused to take the food back and reimburse us and only offered to reheat the food. After arguing with him for several more minutes about it he simply told me he wasn't going to "take the loss" and i needed to leave or he would call the police and have me escorted out. Fair to say, he lost out on allot more than the $70.00 by way of his attitude and failure to satisfy a customer. My family and i spend probably $200.00 a week or more on eating out at other fine dining and this was our first and last experience with this restaurant. On the food, i ordered the jumbo scampi shrimp with fettuccine Alfredo. There were only four medium size shrimp and the pasta was slight with what tasted and looked like cheap, canned Alfredo sauce. No seasoning or any kind of flare whatsoever to the sauce. My wife ordered the crab cakes with cheese tortellini. She received two small plain crab cakes with only three small tortellini. To put in perspective, the crab cakes sold across the street at HEB are twice the size and actually made of real lump crab meat. The only dish they provided that meet our expectations was the garlic bread which was still mediocre at best. Best advice I'd give is take your money to a real Italian restaurant where they care about the quality of their food but also the quality of their service. Otherwise you might as well go across the street and buy a pack of noodles, your choice of meat and a can of the cheapest sauce you can stomach. At least then it won't cost you $20.00- $25.00 a plate and leave you...
Read moreBeen here many times. The food is ok, not great. The service is the absolute worst. Consistently. Every time. The "host" clearly is related to someone. She is rude, has zero people skills, unwelcoming, unprofessionally dressed, and I'm not sure she knows what a smile is. Positive she didn't get the job because of her stellar personality. Our most recent visit is our last. Had a reservation, were seated quickly and then promptly ignored for well over 20 min. When we were finally noticed we ordered everything at once and then waited more. Got the appetizer and salads and then ignored more. The booth in front of us came in as we were waiting for our entrees, were seated, immediately attended to, AND got their food while we still waited- and ultimately gave up. We were there over an hour. The bartender who waited on us didn't care, the manager didn't care, and the horrible "host" didn't care. No apologies at all. As my husband paid I watched the bartender take our probably cold food out of the window and dispose of it. Upon leaving and complaining to the "host", we were informed we were at a bar booth. A long line of booths and the very last one is a bar booth? Who would know that? We didn't request it. Plus the bar area, far removed from us, was packed. It also doesn't excuse horrible service. This place has no idea what proper customer care is. I have been a general manager in the food service industry for over 30 years. I fully understand the ins and outs of this industry. I work to keep my husband patient and to be understanding when restaurants are in the weeds, but when it is this bad I draw the line. For them to be mad at us because they can't handle their business is ludicrous. Absolute worst customer experience ever. No apologies. We were treated like it was our fault. My advice? Steer clear. Not worth the time, money or effort. You can get the same level of service (probably better) at a fast food drive thru. As for the "host", if she is being paid, she needs to be replaced. She is the first and last impression of your business. Trust me, that's not the impression you want your guests...

Expect $13-15 for most entrees. Pizzas start at $18 for a large.
This is one of my favorite Italian places. I've been here 4-5 times. Honestly never tired the pizza though i'm told it's awesome. We're gonna have to try that soon. This is a great place for a quiet date night for sure. We go here for the entrees. Here's notes on what I've tried so far.
Calamari - great, but hard to screw this up.
Stuffed mushroom caps - killer. Seriously. Try this.
Spinach Artichoke Dip - A little too much cheese and not enough cream for me, but flavor is great. Served with these large over sized chips that you break apart yourself.
Escargot - I am not now nor will i ever be brave enough to try this but cool that it's on the menu.
Spinach Fettuccine Alfredo - killer. seriously good!
Eggplant Parmigiana - I love eggplant parm and this is one of the best examples i've ever had. Flavor and texture are both on point.
Garlic Mashed Potatoes - Truly one of the best things I've ever even anywhere in Houston. It's absolutely killer. I could have this as an entree.
Green Beans - I swear they grow these behind the restaurant and pick them to order. They're fabulous. You would not think a green bean would be this good.
Hand Carved Grilled Beef Filet - (looks like tenderloin cut about 1.5 to 2 inches thick) REALLY good. Worth the $ ant $33. Not heavy on added flavor components. They let the meat speak for itself. It's always superbly cooked. Texture like room temperature butter. You barely need a knife. Flavor is excellent.
They also occasionally have prime rib available as an off-menu item. You have to ask the waiter if they have it in stock. I forget what it cost. I think it's just listed as market price... but the one time i had it... sweet baby jesus... was it good. Just unspeakably good. It was the first thing i asked for when we went last night. Sadly they didn't have it.
Irish Coffee - honestly not that great. Could have used some cream. Wine selection here is pretty good. Their house...
