I have never had an experience in a restaurant like I had tonight. As soon as we entered the Friendswood KFC, I went into the bathroom. While in there, I heard someone say "Go sit down" in a not very friendly way. When I was done in the restroom, I went and sat at a table. My son had already ordered his food (I wasn't eating.). When I sat down, a customer said to the lady behind the counter, "Lady, you aren't going to talk to me crazy. I am the customer." I don't know what the exchange with the worker was that provoked his response. The other customers were looking at one another. Customers continued to place their orders. Another worker called out an order to be picked up at the counter. Nobody responded. The lady taking the orders said, "That's Mr. Mouth's." Evidently, the man who yelled at her had left and it was his order. All the customers looked at one another in disbelief that she actually said that. I asked my son whether he was the one she told to sit down. He said he was. He also said when he asked for his cup, she told him he had a bad attitude. My son has special needs. He has autism. He is VERY passive. He is not rude and does not have a bad attitude. When his order was ready, he went to the counter to pick it up. He looked in the bag and there was a large coleslaw in the bag. He tried to tell the worker he had mashed potatoes, not cole slaw and it was on his receipt. She would not listen to him. She would not look in the bag nor at his receipt. She told him it was his order and to take it and go sit down. I am probably the most non-confrontational person you would ever meet but before I knew it, I was at the counter checking in the bag and checking his receipt. I told her his receipt said "mashed potatoes" and that he doesn't eat cole slaw. I also told her she needed an attitude adjustment. She finally looked in his bag and it was determined the cole slaw belonged to the lady standing next to us. The worker pushed the bag toward us and said it was put in there by the people in the back. She then yelled to them that they needed to be more careful. People make mistakes. That was not the issue. It was her attitude from the moment we entered the restaurant until the moment we left. That was the issue. The sad thing is, I believe she must have been the manager, because if she wasn't, surely the manager would have stepped in due to her treatment of the customers? She didnt have a name tag on and I didn't want to interact with her anymore so I didn't get her name or position. I wish I had. I will be contacting headquarters or someone in regard to this. Just be aware you may run into this woman if you frequent this...
Read morePlaced an order and when I received the order - literally half my order was missing. I called the restaurant at least 7 times without an answer. I then inconveniently drove to the restaurant- in the meantime my husband continued to call and spoke to Demi and she said that she could give me the remainder of my order- shouldn’t that be an obvious, I mean I paid for it. When I got to the restaurant staff was rude- refused to give me a copy of my receipt and the corporate number. Tracy said, “when you call corporate you can use my name, I messed up your order and I don’t care if you use my name.” So as you see the horrible customer service continued but for my inconvenience I was offered a free cake- like that makes up for anything. I refused the free cake. I didn’t want FREE I wanted what I ordered. I still didn’t receive my order correctly and staff acted as if they were the ones inconvenienced. They didn’t want to give me the specifics of my order. The food was not prepared as order - example plain and dry sandwiches. I tried to explain to them that attitude is key when dealing with mistakes made - I was then asked by Tracy, “oh you don’t make mistakes?” That’s besides the point, because I’m not the one who needed to own up to the mistake in a professional manner! Absolutely horrible experience. Also Demi stated that if I really wanted to make a complaint I should just use google and yelp to do so. Only gave one star cause that’s the least it will...
Read moreWaited for 20 minutes for fried chicken. The regional/district manager needs to figure out what's going on with that because there are several bad reviews about wait time. Paid for my order and I was told( like several other cars) to pull over, they are waiting for chicken. It should be about 10+ minutes..which I caught the "10+" part but didn't expect to wait 20 minutes for chicken at this location. I would expect this type of service in the "hood", not in ol uppity Friendswood! When I went in to see what was the hold up, and told the young lady my order, she goes to the back, the comes back 10 mubs later saying " they are out of legs and thighs".....REALLY???? YOURE JUST REALIZING THAT AFTER HAVING CUSTOMERS WAIT FOR 30 MINS?????? I requested my money back. The young lady ended up charging me twice so she had to refund my original amount, plus the extra she charged me. One thing you can't get in this life is TIME, and this definitely messed up my schedule for the evening. I'm not sure what's going on at this location but it needs to be investigated, because this was ridiculous. I wasn't the only customer that had waited for 20+ minutes. I should've listened to the previous reviews and went elsewhere. I don't think the owner cares about their store...
