My family and I placed our order at 8:12 pm CST. Besides us, there were two young gentleman in the restaurant waiting for their order. The entire time the entire crew of approximately 10-12 workers were joking around, hollering, and honestly it seemed like the place was not under the watch of management. The two gentleman received their order at 8:22 pm CST. The drive thru was not busy at all. We know this because we sat by the window. After waiting 17 minutes for two #1’ meals and a kids meal, I approached the out of control control where I raised my voice to speak over the crew. I asked for my order to be refunded given the long wait time and zero foot traffic. At that point I was told that my meal was next. I told them to cancel my order and to just refund my credit card. After making the request 3 times, a young lady came up to perform the “voided overring”. I told the young lady that they may need to evaluate the amount of horseplay that was taking place in front of customers. I hit no response. Then I notice a young man with glasses take my order to my table. After thanking the young lady for refunding me, I returned to my table. Because my intentions were not to receive anything fir free, I picked up the tray of food and returned it to the counter. At that time the manager in a blue shirt approached the counter. I told her I didn’t expect the food because I had not paid for it. She rolled her eyes and said “Okay”. She grabbed the tray of food and walked off. No apology. No communication. Just a rude demeanor and unprofessional attitude. Tonight I received below par customer service which is unexpected from Whataburger. I hope you utilize this opportunity to coach your team so that this type of unprofessionalism...
Read moreThis location has been consistently disappointing. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt because people: don't show up to work, may still be in training, etc. so I go back periodically to see if things are better than last time. However, this will be my last visit to this location (even though it is closer to where I live). When I first pulled into the drive-thru this morning, there was no one else in either lane and it was 11:31 am. There were only 3 cars parked in their lot so the dining room was not overly busy. I ordered 2 cranberry apple salads with grilled chicken- that's all. It took 19 min to receive my order. When the guy finally brought it out, he did not apologize for the long wait, and went on to the car behind me with their order. This led me to conclude that the server waited until the other order was completed before delivering mine (which should have been ready in 10 min tops, given that they were not busy when i arrived and it was only salad which probably comes pre-made). All they had to do was heat the grilled chicken and top the salad. The chicken was lukewarm when delivered; if I had not been on a tight schedule, I would have gone in to let them know that I believe their process of combining orders before delivery may save them steps, but it does not promote good customer service! There were multiple cars behind me and in both lanes when I left, but there was no one else in the drive when i first placed my order so something needs to change about this particular crew's work strategy. Perhaps the manager needs some retraining because SLOWness is consistent at...
Read moreOn a gloomy, rainy Houston evening, I plodded into one of my local Official Texas Burgers®. It had been raining all day, with dark skies coming as it turned toward the South-West. The location is gritty, befitting the weather, a bit cramped parking--quite and older location I'd bet in Old Friendswood.. staff were bustling and eating either preparing for the overnight shift or about to get off. It was abuzz with staff who were kind, albeit a bit distant. The place is lovably grimey by my standards, like a dive bar, but to most it'd be subpar. However the food was amazing, despite allegedly supposed to be ready 30+ minutes before hand.. but I didn't mind. Many others may mind some of these.. faults? Eccentricities? Rustic charm? However, I didn't and it's still dispensing you Whataburger at the end of the day: in this case a rainy day approaching full-night was the perfect atmosphere for this grungy but still above board and excellent chain we are fortunate enough to have dang...
