Nature's Garden — Restaurant in Friendswood

Normally I am not one to write reviews, but my dissatisfaction needed to be addressed. When we first arrived we received no greeting from any of the staff, which normally would not be a problem except for the fact that we stood there for over 5 minutes confused if we should seat ourselves or not. There were about six people working and only one table of customers so there is really no excuse. Finally we decided to seat ourselves (still with the only acknowledgment of glances from our direction). Selection of food, smoothies, and gluten free options seemed nice and I decided on half an "Italian Man" sandwich on wheat bread and a fruit cup while my mother ordered half an "Italian Man" sandwich on Multi-Oat and a side salad with ranch. Our server was obviously only there to pass time during the summer and had no customer experience at all. She was having trouble explaining the sand which sizes and the owner (I can assume since no one introduced themselves) made it a point to walk over and make a snarky comment towards her. When our food arrived, both of our sandwiches left us with upset stomachs and raised eyebrows at the fact that our different breads looked exactly the same. The "Italian" in our sandwiches was lost and the meat actually tasted rancid. My fruit cup only consisted of blueberries and apples... Which doesn't seem too fruity to me. When trying to pay for our bill, the waitress and the person working the register were having trouble calculating our meals and tried to make us pay $25 for half a sandwich with fruit, half a sandwich with a salad, and two glasses of water. Overall: the "health store" looked like a nice selection but the staff and food was terrible. I would not reccomend this to anyone, especially those who are looking for more gluten free options because of how awful the communication is with the staff. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars if I could.

I walked in with my boyfriend after a hike to get some salads and drinks. The staff is amazing. The owner? He was sitting at a table with a juice and a plate of food bossing his staff instead of helping them. They took our orders and we paid. We sat down at a table and I excused myself to the restroom. When I came back I sat down and the owner stopped the young man who was making our food, because we had unknowingly tracked mud in.

Instead of waiting for us to leave, he had the young man sweep it up in front of us and around our chairs all the while making it a HUGE scene. My boyfriend got up and cleaned the mess up because the guy had to stop making our smoothie and food. Our salads and drinks came out at the same time after waiting for 15 minutes.

It looked like something you could get at heb for more than half the price we paid plus tip. After spending $53 for the food and experience I will NEVER reccomend this place. Over priced and the owner is horrible to his staff and customers! I did not feel valued or appreciated whatsoever!!!

I HIGHLY suggest you go somewhere else, or you might get a stomach bug like me. I've been throwing up and having diarrhea for hours because of the food I got here. I was almost done with my tuna sandwich and salad when I realized there was a dead spider in the salad. I contacted the store and haven't been able to speak to a manager and they haven't reached out or contacted me. It was just supposed to be lunch but I've had to cancel the rest of my work day because I've been too weak to work.
