My first time experiencing Cava was when a friend had it catered for her party about 3 months ago. A couple weeks ago I drove by a Cava location close to my neighborhood, so I decided to try it again.
I ordered pick up, but I decided to eat it inside the restaurant. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. Clean floors and tables. Lots of seating options, either indoors or on the patio. I chose to eat in the dining room. Upbeat music, but not so loud it would be difficult to have a conversation with someone. It was also pleasantly cool in the dining room.
I ordered the Chicken + Right Rice Bowl, though i customized it to my taste: Saffron white rice in place of the RightRice, no tomatoes, no onions, and no pickled onions. I had it topped with pita crisps. That's a nice touch because it gives it a nice crunch. I had Greek vinaigrette drizzled on top. I was a little skeptical about the "drizzle" since that can be relative, but Cava did a nice job of making sure it was drizzled evenly. Everything mixed together made the bowl light and fresh, but don't let that fool you. It's A LOT of food! I couldn't finish my bowl, and I'm not a small person (6'6"). For my beverage, I enjoyed their house-made Pineapple Apple Mint drink. Light and refreshing! I would definitely order this drink again.
If I change anything about this bowl next time it will be to leave out the feta. The hummus and tzatziki sharing the same bowl was delicious! Overall, I'm very pleased with this location and my meal. Fresh, light, yet it didn't make me feel afterwards like it was a fleeting feeling of full. (Nice alliteration, huh?) 🤪 Choosing...
Read moreI understand that a bad review could really hurt business so I'm sorry to post this. I hope management can turn this location around & do great things w/ it. It's in a great location for a business. I was out shopping & doing errands & popped in to pick up a meal. There is no menu board explaining how this works. I told the guy I just wanted hummus & some pita. He gave me 3 tiny scoops of hummus & what was equal to one pita bread and I'm pretty sure he charged me the regular price for their bowl. I don't know since no prices were displayed but with a drink it was around $17. After looking around for a clean table & literally not finding ONE in the whole restaurant, I started skimming my view for basic cleanliness. One bathroom was "out of service", the self-serve trash/tray return area was overflowing w/ trash & bits of food were littering the tops of ALL tables. It was 2:30! I know they do a lot of take out business b/c the people kept coming in to pick up. I think there were only 4 workers there. They were probably recovering from a rush. One guy was just sitting down to take his break as I left. Come on management! These guys need some help! The food is great, but the environment is nauseating. I felt bad for all the people getting delivery, assuming their food is coming from a nice...
Read moreI arrived at this location against my better judgement as in the past I have experienced subpar customer service and poor overall food quality. No one was in the restaurant so I assumed I would be in/out and proceeded to place what I thought would be a simple order for wraps. As I prepared to give my toppings request, I found myself having to request additional toppings due to the small portions the male employee who appeared to not comprehend clearly what was being asked. Once I was informed that they were out of toppings with atleast an hour and 45 minutes left before closing, I requested to speak with the manager who I had seen go outside earlier appearing to hang out.
The employee went to the back of the kitchen for atleast 3-4 minutes before coming back out and stating "I don't know where the manager at" 🙄... I then asked why wasn't better preparation made to avoid toppings running out and I was met with a blank 😐. This entire visit took me 15 minutes to get out of there for a completely empty restaurant.
From the manager hiding in the back and refusing to come out... To the no sense of urgency or comprehension of the employee...Do Better & Be Better...Lesson...
