Yikes! I forgot Brunch on Sunday was a thing for everyone in the city. This time I needed to be in Frisco. Arrived at 11:45am, hoping to be seated fairly quickly. Thankfully, parking was immediate although the area was packed. This location is in a shopping complex with other surrounding businesses and restaurants. I guess it was noisy because hostess had a hard time getting my information right at the door since a 20-25 minute wait. The menu is extensive. That was decent. Good thing weather brought the sunshine because I had an appointment at 1pm. After the 20th minute elapsed, I went inside to hand over menu, just in time for my party to be called. Seated on the outdoor-indoor portion. Nice set-up. Reminded me of the NY style coverings. Gloria assisted me and was very efficient. Time was of essence. The breakfast fulfilled the appetite, but it was the biscuits for me. My Portland omelet was missing the red peppers, but it’s cool. Didn’t have time to care. The mozzarella is layer in the middle, so the cheese can be overwhelming. So chopped it up and mix with the hash browns. Problem solved. My friend had the corn beef hash- it has to be a Rican thing😊 OJ-freshly squeezed but on the bitter side vs. sweet. Segafredo coffee with hazelnut creamer was the jolt I needed. Love all the condiments are on the table. But it doesn’t allow for your entree plates room. Not a table for 2. Although, I really just wanted all the biscuits to be honest. I’ll return for lunch. The menu is solid and service was good too. I was out by 12:47pm. Enough time for me to catch Cirque De Soleil at the Comerica Center by 1pm! Note: If you have to wait, be prepared with your order. Then wait no more⏳⌛️

The planning began by Mother of Cashew for a fun filled Saturday the weekend before school starts. We left Garland Square after a ceremony to pray for our students and staff before the start of school. The 40 minute journey began to Frisco. Mother of Cashew had set us up for breakfast at this restaurant. It's located in a highly trafficked area with different businesses. There is plenty of parking yet be careful if you have kids due to all the cars. We walked in and there you have to wait to be seated. It can be observed that it's a popular restaurant. Our host sat us in a awkward section of restaurant due to the baby seat being in the way of people and server. My Gremlins were hungry. The 2 Gremlins got Nutella crepes, oh Great plates of sugar, Cashew and Mother of Cashew had traditional eggs and pancakes. I had the skillet. Our server took a long time to take our order which was troubling but food arrived. The crepes were heavy texture not light and soft. The eggs and pancakes were good according to Mother of Cashew. Look fat guys like me are fat because we enjoy taste and when you are gonna drop good money you expect flavor. The meat lovers skillet was average and eggs hard when asked for over easy. Our server brought regular pancakes instead of pecan banana pancakes. It's a nice looking place but the time delay and average taste made it an average place for me especially at $57 plus time. I would go back but not a busy day since our server was overwhelmed.

Immediately as you walk through the door, you're greeted by a beautiful, elegant interior and a kind hostess! The atmosphere is warm and inviting with lots of beautiful, natural light. I got a meat lovers omelet with biscuits and sweet potatoes, and it was delicious!! The omelet was fantastic, and I'd swear these are the best biscuits I've ever had anywhere! Light, good buttery and light yeasty beer flavor, flaky, but don't crumble when you try to pick them up. Unfortunately, the only thing I wasn't crazy about were the sweet potatoes, which were the thing I was looking most forward to but also what ultimately matters the least. I don't want to sound too harsh, but these were nearly not edible. The sweet potatoes were very nearly too burnt, the bell peppers, garlic, and red onion were way way way too strong, and completely overpowered the side. This was primarily the garlic, then the green bell pepper, and somewhat due to the pungent red onion. The oil that the side was cooked in was completely over powered with the garlic. That's mostly all you could taste, garlic and green bell pepper. Anyway, it was still delicious, and I will be back and highly recommend this place! I just don't recommend the sweet potatoes, which is very sad for me to say. They are my favorite breakfast side when I cook breakfast at home.

My wife chose this place for her Mother’s Day breakfast. In order to avoid the crowds we opted to order take out early in the morning rather then to (potentially) have a long wait. I placed my order at about 8:15 and was told it would be about 15 to 20 minutes until my order would be filled, great no problem!

I grabbed a coffee for my wife and walked in 20 minutes later to inquire about the status which is when the problems started. It wasn’t terribly busy inside but it looked like a lot of other people had the same idea to order to go. The scene at the kitchen counter (where you go to pick up) was only what I could describe as complete chaos. There were boxes and boxes of prepared orders stacked on top of each other with zero organization. Three people around me ordering take out had already sent there plates back because something was wrong. A man next to me had made a fairly large order that apparently had been handed over to a different/wrong person and the staff were scrambling to figure it out.

I was told that half my order was ready but that they were still finishing the other part up; again not a big deal. I waited around and after 10 minutes asked about it again and was again told they were working on it. I grew concerned because at this point the other order had been sitting on the counter with no heating element for about 15 minutes. A few minutes later the other order came out, I made sure to check it as the guests around me’s experience had not inspired confidence. As expected, they had put the wrong eggs in and I asked them to correct it. At this point the other half of my order had been out on the counter for at least 20 minutes and I waited another ten for them to fix the eggs. Total time was 50 minutes until they gave me my order back. At this point I asked them to remake the other order which they agreed to (with not the best attitude) as it was ice cold. I looked at the amended order and it was missing hash-browns.

After another 5 minutes (which was suspiciously not enough time to redo the other order) I finally got my food and verified it was correct. Total time was 65 minutes or about 3-4 times what they said originally. I returned home with the food extremely unhappy. The worst part was when we checked the orders both of them were ICE COLD. My wife’s coffee (obviously) was also ice cold as well. As I was leaving the poor guy who’s order was given to someone else was still there waiting.

I’m a pretty patient guy and pretty easy going and understanding when it comes to the service industry, but this was just unacceptable. I had a terrible experience and won’t be returning.

Even cold the food was below average. If you are looking for a great breakfast at a local spot, I suggest you try Eddie’s...

The waiter was friendly and my order was served promptly. The coffee was also good. That's all I can say was good about this place.

For starters, I came here expecting to be biscuit'd since the name of the restaurant is "Biscuit". Unfortunately I could only find one menu item that features biscuits (the biscuits and gravy). For all other entrees, the biscuit was served as an optional side order (toast, biscuit, or fruit). This is almost false advertising.

I ordered the meat skillet with biscuit and a side of gravy. I was given a smallish portion of food and the biscuit was on a separate plate, almost as an afterthought on the side, and not incorporated at all into the entree.

The biscuit itself was very light, airy, and dry, almost like a dinner roll. The taste (to the extent that it had any) was wrong and the consistency was all wrong. You'd think a restaurant named "biscuit" would serve at least an above-average biscuit - wrong.

The entree itself was completely devoid of any flavor or taste whatsoever. There was zero seasoning on the eggs or potatoes. Even the meat on the skillet was tasteless. Usually this is no big deal because I ordered the gravy to go with it. The gravy was among the worst gravy I've ever had. It had absolutely no taste whatsoever and was like eating paste. All I could taste was flour and water.

The entire entree ended up being so bland and tasteless that it was almost hard to eat. Then came the check - for breakfast for one with a single entree and single drink, with tax and tip, was a whopping $21.54. The charges on the check don't even make sense. The menu says "Meat skillet $10.95" but the check says $12.90. Somehow it became $2 more than the menu says. Then they charged extra for the gravy to put on the biscuit! Still scratching my head and trying to figure out how on earth a small breakfast entree cost...
