We came in w/ a group of 11 people at 5:30 today. I ordered the fajitas & apple pie for dessert. Every Mexican restaurant I go to, I always order the fajitas my first time there. The fajitas here were good. Chicken tasted fresh. The seasoning was good as well as the sauteed onions & other stuff. The rice & refried beans were also good.
Other members of our group complained that our waiter did not good a good job w/ keeping their drinks refilled. For me personally, about 5 minutes passed b/t when I finished my drink & he brought a refill. The restaurant was not busy at that time, but a few people went to the bathroom & when they came back they said our waiter was at the bar watching the game. Look, I understand that there can be lull moments when you don't have a lot of tables, but don't let people at your tables see you standing by the bar watching the game when several people's drinks were empty!
Don't get me wrong... the guy was definitely nice... great personality, but several people were not happy with the service. If you've got an 11-top, just make an effort to make sure their drinks cups are...

After this past carry out experience, it will be a while before we visit again. We ordered the new birria tacos on carryout and were told 15min. When we got there we were charged and given veggie tacos. (Good thing I looked before we drove away.) When we went back to have it corrected, no apology, no explanation of how they recharged me and then refunded my card, and was told to wait more. I have a big family and I'm the only one who ordered tacos, the rest ordered from another restaurant (which the food was cold since having to wait for my food to be corrected). Then when I got home to eat it, it wasn't even the sides I ordered... so I got 3 tacos (beans are way to spicy for me and I can't eat rice) 3 tacos for $19 ... so NOPE ... next time I want Mexican, I won't be...
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed lunch with family on the day before Christmas Eve, 2017. Not too busy, loud, or crowded, which was very surprising and nice for this popular restaurant. I had the very delicious tamale plate with flavorful chicken-stuffed tamales with excellent tomatillo sauce, perfect Mexican-style rice, and very good refried beans. I highly recommend that one. Others had shrimp quesadillas, salad with chicken, and a dish served in molcajete, which looked very good and I was informed were all delicious. The fresh and flavorful red salsa was top notch and served with refills generously to each of us with excellent hot tortilla chips that were also replenished frequently along with timely tea refills. Management and wait staff were very friendly, attentive, perfectly professional, and just excellent in every way. Great Mexican restaurant in Frisco, TX that I...
