I recently had the pleasure of dining at Eggcellant Cafe on 423 and Eldorado in Frisco, TX, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! finding a restaurant that caters to my dietary breakfast preferences without compromising on taste can sometimes be a challenge. However, Eggcellant Cafe went above and beyond to ensure my meal was not only satisfying but truly eggcellant!
Firstly, I ordered the Veggie Omelet, and it was a veggie lover's dream come true. The omelet was packed with a generous portion of fresh, vibrant vegetables that were cooked to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the combination of peppers, onions, mushrooms, and spinach created a harmonious symphony on my taste buds.
To complement my omelet, I opted for the Hash Browns, and they were absolute perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just right, they provided the ideal balance of textures to complete my meal. I couldn't help but savor each bite, and it was evident that the hash browns were prepared with great care and attention to detail.
And let's not forget about the pancakes! Fluffy, golden, and simply irresistible, the pancakes at Eggcellant Cafe deserve a standing ovation. The stack of pancakes was a sight to behold, and when I took my first bite, I was transported to pancake paradise. The pancakes were flawlessly cooked, with a light and airy texture that practically melted in my mouth. Topped with a dollop of butter and a drizzle of syrup, they were the epitome of breakfast bliss.
Aside from the fantastic food, the service at Eggcellant Cafe was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring their customers had an amazing dining experience. The cozy ambiance and inviting decor added to the overall charm of the place, making it the perfect spot to start my day on a positive note.
In conclusion, Eggcellant Cafe on 423 and Eldorado in Frisco, TX, is a vegetarian's paradise. From the scrumptious Veggie Omelet to the heavenly Hash Browns and the divine Pancakes, each dish showcased the cafe's commitment to quality and flavor. With exceptional service and a warm atmosphere, Eggcellant Cafe has undoubtedly won my heart. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a fantastic breakfast or brunch spot in the area. Read moreLet me first say this our waitress Leah was great-
I really hope the owner reads this by the way.
Now to the reason why its a 1 star. In our family we don’t eat anything pork.
Backstory- Last year we came in they mixed a little bacon from the previous order. We told the manager then that we were disappointed that we had that experience and they did what they could to fix it which they did-
Fast forward a year and we come back to give it another chance. Service was great, but again, a little bit of bacon in my omelette and my dad’s. When you don’t eat pork you can definitely taste it. We leave without saying anything cause we didn’t want to say that in a full house of customers.
This is where shtf-
So my mom calls in and explains the situation and that she just wanted to let them know and we explained that we were not going to do a review. But this women manager gets incredibly defensive and outright rude. Like I have never ever heard a manager of a restaurant this rude maybe next to a manager of a taco bell or something in the ghetto. Legitimately a terrible excuse of a manager. We weren't asking for anything just to let them know. But with the way she was acting out i am 100% were disputing the charge and we will tell everyone how much we hate this place, I rarely use the word hate for a restaurant.
Cause it really sucks cause the wait staff is great and the foods great too. Id rather go to a waffle house over this place again. In this area I can throw a rock and hit another breakfast spot. There are so many other places that YOU the consumer can choose. Don’t go to this place where they hire completely incompetent “managers” to run the store like they ran their mouth at my mom.
Mistakes can be made and thats okay. Whats not okay is the manager who I really wish I got the name for. You the manager are the reason why customers don’t come back and theres sure as hell a good reason there if the staff turnover is high because of an incompetent and rude manager over...
Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant but it was a huge disappointment, and they don't get any leeway for just having opened since Eggsellent and Starwood Cafe (which are the same company) have 6 other locations.
Once we were seated, our drink orders weren't taken for a good 10 minutes. The waiter put all 5 of our drinks in front of me and made me figure out where they go, and did not give us any straws before he ran away without taking our food orders. It was another 10 minutes until he came back to take our food orders.
Our food took another 25 minutes to come out (now 45 minutes since we've been here). The portion sizes are much smaller than Starwood, which, again, is the same restaurant with an identical menu, except that Starwood's prices are 10% less.
My wife ordered the mixed berries. For $4, she got a shot-glass-sized ramekin that had 1 strawberry, 2 raspberries, and 2 blackberries. They really charged us $4 for that.
I ordered the traditional with bacon and asked for the bacon to be made crispy. After the 45-minute-long wait, my bacon was almost raw. I told the waiter and he asked "do you want to send it back?" Why would I be pointing it out if I didn't want to send it back? It took an additional 10 minutes to correct the bacon, so now almost an hour to get my food.
Once we got our food, the waiter never came back. None of us got drink refills. I kept looking around to see where the waiter was, and the entire time, he was standing by the point-of-sale computer either doing nothing or chatting with a waitress. I think this waiter has never worked in a restaurant before, and the restaurant clearly has not trained him and does not manage their staff, since an alert manager would not permit their waiters to be standing around...
