Take two!
Now that was what I expected! On my second visit Nick was able to help me out. He answered all my questions, showed me different vape mods/pens types, explained how everything works, and answered all my newbie questions. It was a no pressure to buy explanation as well, which I really appreciated. Great service all around.
The first visit I'm chalking up to bad timing, and really does not reflect how these guys operate. (See below for my first visit). To be clear, I'm pretty certain that Nick was unaware of my previous 1 star review form my first visit.
Original Review Below for transparency purposes:
Well, that wasn't what I expected based on a personal friend's recommendation and the glowing reviews here. I walked in wanting to buy a starter kit, and to be guided through on where to start like so many other reviewers' experiences detailed here, but I guess it was just bad timing as the employee working there at the time was unhelpful at best.
She seemed to be having a pretty awful day, so I gave her some time to collect herself. I do understand that retail can be pretty brutal, so I get it and was willing to be patient. After some time I tried to strike up a conversation about why I was there, that I'm new to vaping and looking to start, etc. My expectation was that she'd engage with me by going over the basics of vaping; how it works, any required maintenance, good starting vape pens, etc. Instead, she spent the next 10 or 15 minutes organizing stuff behind the counter, and messing with her phone without speaking to me very much. I ended up leaving shortly thereafter.
I do feel conflicted about leaving this review... On the one hand my experience doesn't seem typical for this place based on the reviews, and the employee I interacted with was obviously dealing with personal issues, but on the other hand I felt I was pretty patient. To be clear, the place was not busy at all. There was one customer present when I walked in that left after a few minutes, and one more that came in while I was attempting to speak with the employee that left also after purchasing something...
Best case scenario, the employee takes this as a learning experience and hopefully receives...
Read moreMy husband just recently bought a vape from Daniel and I tried it when he got home. I really liked it, although it was a little harsh for me so my husband suggested we go see Daniel. When we walked in, Daniel immediately recognized my husband and said welcome back I see you brought your lady. He introduced himself, shook my hand and said welcome to Texas (as he knew we had just moved here from CA). I explained that I liked my husband's vape but it was a bit harsh. He immediately pulled a different vape off the shelf and explained what he felt would be best for my needs. He was so nice, didn't make me feel ignorant and was extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend Vapor Lab and Daniel if you're looking to cut back on cigarettes or smoking in general. I've tried several other vapes in the past and none of them worked for me nor did I even like them. I love the vape Daniel recommended!...
Read moreFor the most part great store. However I bought a mod 4 weeks ago from here. I generally stick with disposables due to not being able to find coils on specific mods. I asked if the mod I bought is fairly easy to buy coils for. They told me yes hands down. NOPE. Ever since I have checked in every week and no luck. They took my name and number down and said they should have some the next day or week for.... a month now. I called back tonight and the guy who answered had an attitude and said they don't have anythyng for me and that there was never a name or number written down to call back. Sounds like I've wasted a month of my time and the store was obviously trying to get rid of an older model. I leave a tip every time I come too! You lost a customer...
