This is not based on the food. The food was good and the pho portions are huge. I have spent some time in Vietnam and the soups at this restaurant are plentiful and there are many menu options. It is Friday so of course waits are expected, but there needs to be more staff. Our server seemed sick and exhausted and coughed in our waters and coffee ): One of us ordered a plain coffee. When it came out it was the $4.50 iced coffee and condensed milk which the person at our table can’t have. There was no explanation on how to drink the coffee as there was a metal drip on top, and when we asked why it wasn’t plain like we ordered, she said they don’t have plain coffee- that should have been told when he ordered the plain coffee rather than bringing a different coffee! So we were charged for the specialty coffee that we did not order. At the end we asked for a to go container and the check. After 30 minutes and no check, we got up and paid (after a 15 minute line) and eventually were given the container. She was busy and running around so much because there were only a few members of staff on a busy Friday night. More staff would prevent this! The server should be trained on extra skills such as ingredient knowledge, as something like a basic black coffee was ordered and we were given something different- many people can’t have sweetened/lactose; and level up the people skills! Best wishes in the future as the menu and food are great. Maybe we would return on different...
Read moreWe decided to give them a try since they are so close to home. As our first time trying out their menu I ordered two staple entree's that I typically enjoy across Pho restaurants. I got the P9 (brisket and flank pho) and the B5 (grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli). I have to say my biggest complaint with both dishes was the complete lack of flavor. Vietnamese cuisine is typically full of rich textures and robust flavors that leave your mouth wanting more. These dishes however begged me over and over again to stop eating. The lettuce and bean sprouts with the vermicelli had a bitter flavor much like when you near the stem of a head of iceberg lettuce. The pork did not seem grilled but had a texture like that of microwaved meat. The flavor of the pork is so hard to identify given there's so little of it within the meat. The broth of the pho was the most flavorless pho I've ever had. I can really go on about the flavor but I don't think that is necessary. I simply would not go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone especially given the close'ish proximity to better options for the same genre but much more flavor! Hopefully at some point the owner/chef take heed to some reviews because there is definitely room for improvement and potential to...
Read moreVery disappointed in I Luv Pho! I ordered seafood Pho and an X-large order of the broth. One jar came with pho and one is an extra broth order in the picture. I understand that there’s inflation, which they addressed by increasing their prices by about 10% but to call one of the broth jar an X-Large size is just cheating the customer! I don’t mind the price increase bc that’s the economy we are in but to cheat like this with the price increase is an embarrassment! As much as I loved this place I will not be returning!
Response to the owner: when I picked up my order I told the lady at the front that the size of their broth has decreased and at first she just smiled. Realizing that she probably didn’t understand me, I repeated and also hand gestured that the “broth less than before”, she def understood that bc she started avoiding eye contact with me. As for your size, you guys used to have the foam cups that were wider and same height that carried more broth. Thanks for reading...
