Famous Tandoori — Restaurant in Frisco

Exceptional dining experience.

During a recent lunch break while working in the Frisco area, I decided to visit the Famous Tandoori Halal restaurant after hearing great things about it.

From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the restaurant's inviting ambiance. The space is not only beautifully decorated but also impeccably clean, setting a relaxing tone for the meal ahead.

The customer service at Famous Tandoori is exceptional. The staff is attentive, caring, and really makes you feel welcome. It's clear they prioritize a great dining experience for their guests, and their hospitality adds a warm touch to the whole experience.

For my meal, I ordered the tandoori chicken, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. It's easily one of the best tandoori dishes I've had in a long time.

While I was fully satisfied with my meal, I couldn’t help but notice they serve goat biryani, which I’ve heard is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back to try it soon!

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this restaurant compelled me to share my thoughts. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. The dishes I tried were overcooked and dry, which made for a rather unenjoyable meal. One of the dishes had an off-putting taste that reminded me of something not fresh, which was disappointing. Additionally, the bread had a strange flavor, as if it had been cooked in vegetable oil, which was quite noticeable. Overall, I was left feeling very disappointed and would not recommend this place based on my experience.

We were there last Sunday for a late lunch when it was quiet. I believe we met with the owner who took our order. He was an absolute gentleman. I must say we were completely blown away by the flavor and deliciousness of the chicken tikka masala! Never have we tasted such delectable gravy! We also requested some accommodation on reduced spice levels and it was adhered to. So impressed!! The chicken samosas were also extremely tasty. The sweet paan was one of the best we have tasted too! It’s a small place but has a cozy feel. Will definitely visit again. We spoke with a girl with the most homely and beautiful smile at the end upon checking-out (I apologize I can’t remember the name.
