I'm disappointed with the attitude of the management towards paying customers. I went to dine-in at the restaurant and was told about the 40 minute wait for the food when I was seated. I was ok with the wait time and was also ok to cut them some slack since its the first day. However, about 15 minutes after I was seated a party of 3 women came in to eat at the restaurant. The owner went to speak to them and by the looks of it they knew each other. Their food arrived 5-10 minutes after being seated. And they finished their food and left while I was still waiting for mine to arrive. I also found out that they had the same dish I had ordered (veg pulav). So this was clear preferential treatment to the owners friends over other paying customers. The people at the table next to me noticed this as well and complained to the staff about it. The staff was nice, but it sucks that the owner likes to serve their friends before other customers. They may as well run the restauant for just for their friends and family instead opening it to the public. My food finally arrived about 50 minutes after being seated. Now as for the review of the food: the veg pulav was very good (maybe it was the hunger talking). I also took home idli/vada and a veg bowl. Those were pretty bad. The idli was hard. Chutney was just ok (only tomato was provided. No peanut or coconut chutney). The veg bowl was very greasy. Stay away from that.

So overall, one dish out of three was good. The service staff was nice. However, the owners should stop serving their friends out of turn before other paying customers who have been waiting for...

We recently visited KK Veg Nivas in Prosper, TX with a group of 6 adults and 4 kids, and had a truly delightful experience! The environment was welcoming, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxed family outing.

The food was the highlight of our visit—starting with the flavorful tomato soup, which set the tone for the rest of the meal. The Jowar roti with channa masala was simply awesome—wholesome, tasty, and comforting. We also tried the tofu bowl, which was a refreshing and healthy addition to the menu—something new and it tasted great! To wrap it all up, the guava shake was top-notch and absolutely delicious—definitely a must-try! Others in our group tried the Makhani Pasta and Paneer Butter Masala, and both dishes were delicious as well.

The owner was super friendly, and the hospitality made us feel right at home. The cutleries were spotless and well-maintained, and the service was excellent throughout. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with a variety of healthy vegetarian and unique menu options. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something different and nourishing.

We will definitely be coming back—especially for that amazing...

A Hidden Gem in Frisco/Prosper – Veg Nivas Deserves Your Attention!

I normally don’t write reviews unless the experience is truly exceptional—and Veg Nivas is just that. I’ve been here multiple times, and every single visit has left me impressed.

Their Veg Biryani is the best in DFW—flavorful, aromatic, and clearly made with care. It’s reason enough to keep coming back. You can literally taste the freshness in everything they serve. From the ingredients to the preparation, it’s evident they prioritize quality over shortcuts.

Just yesterday, I tried the Jowar Roti Meal and Alachandala Vadalu—absolutely out of this world! Unique, nutritious, and delicious.

In an area where new restaurants are popping up left and right, Veg Nivas truly stands out. This place isn’t just about making profits—it’s built on passion, heart, and a genuine desire to serve the best to the community.

Srinivas Garu and Kalyani Garu are wonderful hosts who make you feel like family. Their hospitality adds a special touch that’s hard to find these days.

If you haven’t been yet—go. Support a place that puts love and care into...

From the moment I walked inside, I felt welcomed! The owner greeted me warmly and led me to my seat. The ambience is cozy and the design is colorful and felt authentic. The color schemes went so well together! The owner was so kind and helped me with the menu as it was my first time at the restaurant and I am still not super familiar with different Indian dishes. I appreciated the owner being helpful and patient as I asked her about her recommendations. As an appetizer, I ordered the Masala Puri and it was amazing! So flavorful and the texture was with the perfect crunchiness! I loved this dish! As my main, I ordered the Gutti Vankaya Curry, which had baby eggplants inside. I had never had this dish before and I was impressed with the unique flavors. I appreciated that it came out steaming hot! It was perfect to eat on a freezing cold day! There was Indian music playing which made the experience feel authentic and traditional. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant and can’t wait to go back! The owner is kind and genuine and I sincerely appreciated her hospitality!

Clean restaurant with attentive, but a tad slow service; we went on a Thursday afternoon and there were only 2 other patrons. We ordered ghee karam dosa which had little to ghee and was also not spicy; however, the chutneys were fresh and tasty as opposed to majority of Indian restaurants that serve desiccated coconut chutney, full marks to that. The sambar however, was watery and lacked flavor. The thali was good in terms of presentation, but seemed confused in terms of components! There was one roti, kurma and paneer, watery sambar again, dal, yogurt and payasam - I would have expected one curry for the roti and maybe rasam ? The paneer and the payasam were very tasty - the portion of rice served was also a tad less than what an average person can possibly eat. The boost-mocha shake was mostly a chocolate milk shake and the chikoo shake hardly had any chikoo and was more of a plain milk shake. The layout of the restaurant is also a bit weird with restrooms right off the dining area which seems a bit unsanitary.

Went here on their grand opening breakfast buffet and honestly it was a disappointment. Poor management from the start — most items were unavailable the entire time we were there. No idly, sambar was finished, and even tea ran out. Dosa and puri were served at the table, but the dosa didn’t taste good at all. The little sambar I did get was watery and flavorless. Puri was just average. For a grand opening, I expected better preparation and at least some consistency in the basics. If even one item had been decent, I would’ve given 4 stars, but with everything falling short, 2* is me being generous. Hopefully they improve over time, but right now it’s not worth recommending. Overall, $8 per person isn’t bad, but you still expect at least one dish to stand out and make it feel worth the money — and that just wasn’t the case. I share my honest food experiences here — follow me for more real reviews on places worth trying (and the ones to avoid).
