I'm disappointed with the attitude of the management towards paying customers. I went to dine-in at the restaurant and was told about the 40 minute wait for the food when I was seated. I was ok with the wait time and was also ok to cut them some slack since its the first day. However, about 15 minutes after I was seated a party of 3 women came in to eat at the restaurant. The owner went to speak to them and by the looks of it they knew each other. Their food arrived 5-10 minutes after being seated. And they finished their food and left while I was still waiting for mine to arrive. I also found out that they had the same dish I had ordered (veg pulav). So this was clear preferential treatment to the owners friends over other paying customers. The people at the table next to me noticed this as well and complained to the staff about it. The staff was nice, but it sucks that the owner likes to serve their friends before other customers. They may as well run the restauant for just for their friends and family instead opening it to the public. My food finally arrived about 50 minutes after being seated. Now as for the review of the food: the veg pulav was very good (maybe it was the hunger talking). I also took home idli/vada and a veg bowl. Those were pretty bad. The idli was hard. Chutney was just ok (only tomato was provided. No peanut or coconut chutney). The veg bowl was very greasy. Stay away from that.
So overall, one dish out of three was good. The service staff was nice. However, the owners should stop serving their friends out of turn before other paying customers who have been waiting for...
Read moreWe recently visited KK Veg Nivas in Prosper, TX with a group of 6 adults and 4 kids, and had a truly delightful experience! The environment was welcoming, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxed family outing.
The food was the highlight of our visit—starting with the flavorful tomato soup, which set the tone for the rest of the meal. The Jowar roti with channa masala was simply awesome—wholesome, tasty, and comforting. We also tried the tofu bowl, which was a refreshing and healthy addition to the menu—something new and it tasted great! To wrap it all up, the guava shake was top-notch and absolutely delicious—definitely a must-try! Others in our group tried the Makhani Pasta and Paneer Butter Masala, and both dishes were delicious as well.
The owner was super friendly, and the hospitality made us feel right at home. The cutleries were spotless and well-maintained, and the service was excellent throughout. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with a variety of healthy vegetarian and unique menu options. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something different and nourishing.
