Listen. I don’t normally write reviews. But what happened at Haystack Burger last night deserves to be documented for future generations.
I walk in hungry — like, “don’t-talk-to-me-until-I-eat” hungry. The guy behind the counter (let’s call him John, though it may have been Jonathan, or possibly a sentient beef patty) greets me with the enthusiasm of someone who has seen things. I ask what’s good, and without blinking, he says:
“You need the fried cheese sticks. Don’t think. Just do it.”
I laugh nervously. He doesn’t. He stares into my soul. This man is dead serious. “They’ll change you,” he whispers. “They changed me.”
Okay. Fine. I order the cheese sticks and a burger. Whatever.
Reader, I was not ready.
These cheese sticks aren’t appetizers. They’re a spiritual awakening. They’re golden brown, crunchy on the outside, and inside? A molten stretch of cheese that could double as a grappling hook. I bit into one and saw my ancestors nodding in approval. Somewhere, a bald eagle cried.
The burger? Fantastic. Juicy, perfectly cooked, stacked like a meat-lover’s architectural masterpiece. But those cheese sticks? I started calling them “the chosen ones.” I would absolutely throw hands over the last one.
The same guy walked by mid-meal and just smirked, like, “Yeah. You get it now.”
So yeah. Haystack isn’t just a burger joint. It’s a life event. Come for the burger, stay because the cheese sticks altered your...

First off, these burgers showed up THICK. Like, “catching stares at the cookout” thick. The kind of thick that makes you rethink every skinny burger you’ve ever tolerated. I’m talkin’ buns soft like R&B lyrics and patties juicy enough to file a complaint with your taste buds for not warning you.
I ordered the Avocado Ranch Burger and let me just say this in my best Jim Carrey-from-The-Mask voice: SMOKIN’! That avocado ranch sauce? Creamy, flavorful, and disrespectfully delicious. I wanted to dip everything in it—fries, onion strings, bills, regrets—you name it.
Now my wife had the Haystack Burger, and let me tell you, that BBQ sauce came with real bacon in it. Not flavor. Not “hints of.” ACTUAL bacon chillin’ in the sauce like it had rent to pay. Now look—I don’t even eat pork. But I took one for the team. And when I say that bite was fire? Forgive me, ancestors, it was worth it.
The fries were golden, crispy, and ready to be dragged through ketchup like they owed me money. The onion strings? Light, crunchy, and gone faster than I’m proud to admit.
Haystack Burgers might’ve been takeout, but they packed that food like they KNEW it was gonna be judged. And judged it was—10/10, no notes.
Frisco folks, if you haven’t been here yet… fix that....
Read moreCame here with the wife and brat, was craving a burger but not just any burger needed something new and different, and I think I found the place. Had driven past the place a couple of times and never paid attention due to the funky location, but reviews looked good so, told the wife it's burger time!! So this is an order as you come in,get your own drinks, condiments place, My one pet peave I have is if you gonna make me do all these things then have decent prices, that said it is a bit on the pricey side, and Ala carte (Not my favorite) OK so I had the Haystack burger, which was really tasty, juicy and greasy and all around good, one thing though, not a fan of soggy buns, and this will happen with this burger type, still really enjoyed the taste. The wife had the Escabeche burger, looked really nice and good presentation, she said it was not spicy, but tasted really good, and ofcourse the kiddo had a kiddo burger this did come with fries and a kiddo drink. Also ordered the Half and Half, Fries and fried pickles , both were delicious the place serves really good burgers and sides, also looks like they have several taps, with local beers? Even though it's on the pricier side, I will come back, because the burgers are good and...
