King and Cardinal — Restaurant in Frisco

Ever so often there comes a food joint that is not only authentic in it's flavors, but also in the menu, options and all the things that go into making a place, worth hanging out.

As you enter, the ambience strikes you as being a contemporary and playful setting with the decals, foosball tables and a nice outside dining area for those warm days .

Coming to the menu items , and some history. King and Cardinal (K&C) is a big time burger joint in Hyderabad in India and has a pios fan following. For all those folks, and many more, KC is a big deal.

Personally, being a vegetarian is what brings me joy here, as there plenty veggie options, for both starters and burgers.

We've been eating here for over a week and definitely love it. Top favorites are Avacado wedges, veggie cutlets, And Butter Corn for starters. The veggie burgers are amazing, and flavorful.

To make this offering great, the owners have added Boba Tea options and great milk shakes. We tried the mango boba tea and mango jello shakes. They were heavenly.

The real amazing point I didn't mention is that the prices are freakin' affordable !

For a family of four we got most of it at around 5-6$ per head .

Update 3/17/19: Been here many times since the last review and am pleased to share that K&C has become a local favorite such that at 10pm last night the place was packed with happy customers !!

STYROFOAM TAKES 500yrs to FOREVER TO DEGRADE (basically non-biodegradable), SWITCH TO PLASTIC TO GO CONTAINERS HOT & FRIED FOODS MELT STYROFOAM CAUSING...Vomiting, nausea, headaches & diarrhea are among the side effects of eating food products in slightly melted Styrofoam. Styrofoam cannot be used to reheat food. Styrofoam is also a threat to marine life. It is non-biodegradable & will break into small pieces when discarded. MENU NEEDS PHOTOS!!!, DON'T KNOW WHAT 3/4 OF THE MENU ITEMS ARE...DESPERATELY NEEDS PHOTOS & DESCRIPTION OF WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EACH ENTREE, SANDWICHES & APPETIZERS, ETC!!! Gave this location 3 stars. I haven't been here before but was checking out the Frisco menu via their website. Not at all what I thought it was...looks like mostly vegetarian, mutton & chicken. Drive by this location everytime I go anywhere & the sign doesn't say anything about being Indian food or Vegetarian. So I was completely thrown when I looked up the menu online. I like Indian food but some of these items I've never heard of before & spent 30min to an 1hr Googling the menu! Not cool. (Based on SEVERAL reviews this place sounds filthy...VISIBLE COCKROACHES! Sounds like Health Department visit is due!) Until someone says the place is clean, servers are knowledgeable & attentive & food doesn't take over 30minutes to get drinks (within 10min) & ALL meals I'll be putting off attempting to try this location. Food : Ordered a spicy veg burger, veg cutlet, chicken popcorn, pan ice cream

Veg cutlet : It was 5/5 , really tasty and finally got some authentic veg cutlet in Dallas . Veg burger: well how to put this , the taste was good but the overall size was too big to hold and the ingredients assembly was too messy . Half of the time it was difficult to hold it properly and eat with all layers . Because it was a) overly saucy b) some of the ingredients like onion were slipping out c) the bun was thick, soggy and constantly out of place. So I almost felt like I had a great tasty burger in hand but really couldn't enjoy it because of how messy it turned out . Just FYi : producing tasty burgers is important but also the right proportion and great assembly should be there for us to hold and eat them. Chicken popcorn: 0/5 . I assumed it would be something like KFC popcorn but turned out more chicken 65 . It looked red and even if I have to rate that dish alone , it was not god Pan ice cream: 5/5 , was really good

Atmosphere: They have indoor and outdoor seating. Their indoor had so much loud music not sure why , we had to communicate yelling out loud , eventually came outside to eat Music is good but that shouldn't dominate the environment. Must be subtle and just as background.

Service: it was excellent. They have buzzer devices , clear processes , no wait time .
