It's been awhile since we have been to Mary's due to some inconsistent experiences but our restaurant of choice in the area was closed for the afternoon so we thought we'd give them another shot.

Ugh. Bad idea.

We selected the "two sides, one meat" and selected a couple salads and the rosemary chicken. He offered "light or dark" and since we were sharing we chose the dark which was to be a leg and thigh.... which turned out to be a tiny/overcooked leg and remnants of a thigh. (We should have stopped him when he started loading the plate with bits and pieces from the meat tray but didn't) Ultimately, we were able to eat half the leg and a few bits and pieces of random meat but it honestly wasn't very good. The bits he'd added were veggies and, wow, a handful of bone fragments.

Salads were fine. Meat was horrible. $15 would have been a bit higher than it should have been with a wonderful meal but it was a lost investment and left with adequate recall of the experience that we won't...

I wish there is negative star review option.

I ordered a chickpea salad from this restaurant for pickup, hoping for a quick and healthy meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. When I got home and opened the container, I immediately noticed a strange odor coming from the salad. After a bite, it was clear that the chickpeas had spoiled.

For a pickup order, I expect the food to be fresh and handled with care, but this was definitely not the case. The entire salad was off-putting, and I had no choice but to throw it away. I reached out to the restaurant to report the issue, but their response was lackluster, offering not even an apology with no effort to make it right.

Food safety should be a priority, especially for orders that people take home without realizing something is wrong until they sit down to eat. This experience has left me disappointed, and I’m not likely to return anytime soon. It’s unfortunate, because I had hoped for a much better experience...

Gave this spot three stars because of the lackluster service and the poor food presentation. All of the vegetables looked burnt and super over cooked. The couscous looked dry, the cucumber medley was covered in this unattractive brown sauce, and the other vegetables and rice just looked so unappealing. Nothing about the presentation of the food was appetizing or made me want to eat it at all. I picked the hummus and baba ganoush as my one side as they were able to split it and my other side the cabbage and spinach salad. These two sides were the best looking out of the 10 they had. I got the rosemary chicken as my meat and it turned out to be a good choice. Actually the three items I got turned out to be good choices. The cabbage-spinach salad was crispy with a hint of sweetness and the hummus had a great roasted flavor. The chicken was not super salty and was juicy and easily came off the bone.

I hope that in the future the food presentation and the...

Salad (small portion) had a nice citrus dressing but it only came half the time we ordered; gyro (larger portion) was tasty; lamb (super small portion) a bit spicy and meat was tough; rice was a nice surprise and closer to how I remember family making it growing up; tzatziki was abysmal...basically loose watered down citrus yogurt with cucumber chunks - it was NOTHING like tzatziki and you could even buy better from a grocery store (of which tastes nothing like traditional but at least has the right consistency); baklava was very good (but $1.99 for a teeny tiny piece...Overall, there is definitely some good here but consistently inconsistent with ordering repeat liked items and some of the staples are just really bad.

Flies everywhere (at least 8 on the wall next to us). My chicken on the chicken shawarma plate was so dry it looked and tasted like it'd been cooked days ago and left out (went on a Saturday evening around 6). So so disappointed. The gyros were very mediocre and the meat was also dry (though not AS much as the chicken) and tough. The spinach in the cranberry salad was old and slimey. I'm not even a picky eater or "foodie" and this place was way below par. One of the men who served us never returned a smile and acted fairly annoyed with us first timers instead of being inviting and helpful. I was so excited to have a Mediterranean eatery close by but unfortunately will never be going back.

I really enjoyed this food. The place is very family oriented. It is a good side for small or large parties. Most seating is for 4 people. They have a bar that you can choose your own combinations or they have pre-set plates. The food was very fresh and tasty, good flavors. They are a bit short staffed but they were extremely polite and servicial. The plates range from $8.99 - $18.99. The baklava with pistachio it’s delicious. The 4 starts is because my brother order 3 meats so they charged 3 separate plates. So, just be aware of that. Also, my baklava was short of one half. 😂 Overall is a great place for Mediterranean food. If you are around you should try it.
