Good food at a great price. If you are doing takeout, just check your order, ours has been off a few times.
Update: I only thought they messed up orders before, now this.
So common sense might tell someone that you wouldn't order a $9 potato, then delete off every topping and get a plain potato!
But I'm afraid you won't find that common sense at this location. I attached the photo of the tasty sounding Spicy Chipotle Chicken and Bacon Potato that was ordered. Imagine my surprise when I open the container to find my Spicy Chipotle Chicken and Bacon Potato, minus the Grilled Chicken, minus the Bacon, minus the Cheddar Jack, minus the Green Onions, minus the Chipotle Ranch, and completely devoid of taste.
They did give me two tiny containers of butter. Yum. Really made my 24 minute teacher lunch all the more enjoyable!
Update 2: My wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight at McAlister's. McAlister's was nice enough to offer us each a free dinner to make up for the dry potato.
My wife ordered a spud, only to be told they were out of spuds... 7pm on a Thursday and out of spuds. Even better was the restaurant sits in the parking lot of a Market Street Grocery store, which I'm pretty sure would have had potatoes. So we picked something from the menu, that wasn't a potato.
I ordered a French Dip, which came with a bun so soggy I just ate the roast beef out of it. I'm pretty sure they toasted the bun with the meat and cheese on it. The lower half of the bread was so soggy, the beef just fell through it when I picked it up.
My wife's meal was good. The salad seemed fresh, but the Sweet Chipotle Chicken sandwich was swimming in sauce. I liked it, but it was way over dressed for her liking. I ate some of it just to have some bread.
I appreciate the effort of corporate to try to make up for my experience, but sadly, this location remained a disappointment. From the 15 minute wait for food in an empty restaurant, to the crumb covered tables, there just doesn't seem to be much...
Read moreFood here is spectacular. I had the Roast Beef sandwich added bacon and horseradish to it. They forgot the bacon but Manager Jason took care of it quickly and with ease. The sandwich, in my opinion, has the perfect amount of meat on it and the cheddar was fresh and melted. I made a mistake and didn't get the "pick 2" LOL and had a huge double potato with roast beef and onions on it along with tons of cheese. It was great but now I need a nap like Thanksgiving. The carrot cake was to die for as well but I'm so stuffed I can't barely stuff 3 bites in my mouth. A few things to notice here: First, Manager Jason takes an Active approach to managing his team. He does his work plus is on top of things helping his team out with whatever is needing done. It's been a long time since I've seen true management skill and "Active management" is what most companies need to accomplish what this guy and his team do... seemingly without trying. 5 stars is too low of a rating if you ask me for flawless teamwork and operation from a customer perspective, so good work guys! Second, the employees attitudes and personality are incredible, laughing, smiling, friendship, a d a without interfering with the performance and business operations. KUDOS! Third, quality of the food... I couldn't do better myself... I've been in Dallas for nearly 4 years and this is the first time I've tried these guys. I'm hooked. If you've never been here before, get the "Pick 2", trust me. It'll be more...
Read moreSo excited to have a mcallisters so close to me now, but the staff seemed very untrained. Granted we just went in during the Sunday lunch rush for our first visit, every staff member we interacted with seemed flustered and unorganized. I watched several girls carrying heavy trays far too big for them around the restaurant while trying to find who ordered what. Several of the girls were carrying the trays awkwardly resulting in their bodies and hair touching the food. One poor girl who probably weighed less than the tray had it awkwardly propped on her shoulder with her face entirely too close to the food for my comfort. I overheard several staff members complain about the trays hurting their wrists and being too heavy, and that there were more dirty dishes stacking up in the kitchen than they could handle all within earshot of myself and other tables around us. My food arrived in a timely fashion and fortunately I was able to watch it from the kitchen to my table to know it hadn't been touched, and it tasted good. I will probably wait a month or two to allow the staff to get into their groove before going back. It was extremely crowded and hectic, so while I can't penalize them for being flustered, having someone else's food touching your hair and body and being held inches away from your face is not acceptable, and those who can't maneuver the tray would fare better to just run a couple...
