Quite honestly, this is Mexican food but it reminds me of the places that aren’t popular in Mexico. The food lacks flavor. I got a brisket gordita plate and the “brisket” was more of a carne asada. The beans I assume are canned beans because that’s how they taste. My husband and daughter got burritos and they were alright, same issue with the beans plus they didn’t have bacon, not sure if they had ran out already or ?? (I ordered around 11:50 am). I also ordered esquites (corn in a cup) and was not impressed at all, this is the first time I’ve experienced esquites with salsa Valentina instead of powdered Chile, the corn seemed to be canned corn as well instead of fresh cut corn from the cob as it is done in Mexico. We got churros and those were good. I am very new to the north Texas area, we recently moved here from west Texas (odessa/midland) which has a high Hispanic population so it’s easier to find Mexican restaurants there and are on the hunt for good authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. This might be a hit for certain people that are used to this flavor in food but when you come from an area like Delicias, Chihuahua or Mexico City like my husband and myself then you truly know the intensity of flavor that certain Mexican food...

Read moreAs someone who loves exploring local taco spots and sharing honest food reviews, I had high hopes for Rudy's Kitchen in Frisco!
Unfortunately, this visit didn't meet expectations. I ordered the steak tacos and was immediately let down by the quality. The corn tortillas didn't taste fresh, and the steak itself lacked flavor and freshness. For $11, I received four very small tacos! That’s a fair price if the food had delivered, but sadly, it didn't. AT ALL.
Another downside was the service. When I asked about the menu (which isn't in English), the responses I received from the young lady were short and not particularly helpful. There wasn't much effort made to make the experience welcoming or easy to navigate. I also found it odd that chicken wasn't available as a taco option… only in burritos.
All in all, this spot just didn't do it for me. Between the underwhelming food, poor service, and lack of menu clarity, I won't be returning. There are too many great taco places out there to settle for one that doesn't seem to care about the...
