You can't make this stuff up. Listen carefully.. My brother just moved to Frisco 1hr before this ordeal and i decided to take him to lunch.. so i choose Ozzys. I wasn't happy with my soup after tasting it. It tasted sour and not resembling the picture. I am a very friendly polite educator and live local. I've also eaten tacos here twice and remembered the waiter. I asked if it was ok to order something else the big male waiter said yes no problem. I ordered tacos to-go. Now the only other patrons just walked out. After receiving the order the bill had both items so i asked if i can have the soup removed. His response was very unprofessional, aggressive loud and humiliating "No Home Boy" You ordered it and your going to pay for it! " shocked and disturbed at this degrading and disrespectful response.. I asked for a manager and for him to repeat what the policy was for clarification. A lady yelled out "Call the cops" the manager. Then guys ran aggressively out from the back and surrounded our table acting like THUGS with clenched fists saying things like "you don't know who you're messing with" "we're from COMPTON Cali L.A. hommie". At this point I'm scared and afraid to get up as i feared we would be assaulted! I was so scared i offered 60 dollars to leave! That was a bad idea it caused more escalation. I really didn't know if we would make it out this restaurant without being harmed or maybe tracked down later as the lady recorded my car!! We have a safe family oriented city, this is no place for Compton gangs! You can't stereo type your costumers by how they look. This traumatizing experience warrants the Law Enforcements attention, City Code compliance, the mayor's office to take a closer look at what's going on at your facility and for your property management to be made aware of a potential civil case that could be in action for all. I need for you to apologize now to the Frisco community for the hostile, unprofessional and bigoted actions of EVERY employee, owner and the manager, we will not stand for this in our city! Your response determines how we move forward. I hope as professional adults and that you learn from this mistake move forward and resolve your past Compton traumas. There is NO excuse for treating ANYONE like this in any business in Texas...
Read moreOur experience at Sr Ozzy’s Tacos Y Mariscos was far from what we expected. As food content creators, we were invited by Armando to try out some of their 25+ plates for a family-friendly feature and provide an honest review. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, we were met with a lack of hospitality and an unwelcoming attitude.
Our Experience
Invitation & Confirmation Issues • We always confirm that restaurants can accommodate our family of four before visiting. Armando assured us this was fine. • Upon arrival, he questioned our party size, saying, “I thought there would be three of you?” despite our prior confirmation. This was an immediate red flag. • I attempted to show him our IG message confirming a table for four, but he refused to look.
Dietary Restrictions & Hostility • We informed him that my daughter and I cannot have dairy, my daughter is allergic to shellfish, and my husband does not eat pork. • His response was dismissive and rude: “I never knew foodies to be allergic to stuff,” said in an irritated tone. • When I asked if dairy could be left off certain dishes, his response was “I don’t know,” and he seemed annoyed.
Poor Customer Service & Cleanliness Concerns • Feeling uncomfortable with his attitude, we decided this restaurant wasn’t the right fit for us. • He quickly agreed when we said we’d be leaving, showing zero effort to accommodate or resolve the situation. • The restaurant itself was not well-maintained: • A dirty rag was left on the floor. • Tables were sticky, and menus were dirty. • Floors needed sweeping to maintain basic cleanliness.
Final Thoughts • This was not a paid collaboration—we were simply there to support a small business and provide an honest review. • Armando’s attitude was condescending and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome from the start. • Hospitality is about treating guests with kindness, not talking down to them. • If this is how he treats invited guests, how does he treat paying customers? • We drove 45 minutes to try this restaurant, and it was a complete waste of time.
As strong supporters of small businesses, we genuinely wanted to give this place a chance, but this experience was a hard pass.
🚨We would NOT recommend Sr Ozzy’s Tacos...
Read moreI have heard only great things about this place and finally got a chance to stop in for lunch today with my Mom. Sr. Ozzy’s hit it out of the park. The Owner - Armando - was gracious and attentive and we were chatting with him before, during, and after our meal. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and seated by Myra. She brought us waters while we browsed the cocktail menu. Fortunately, we spent quite a bit of time browsing the Food Menu online and knew what we wanted to order prior to our arrival.
We started things off with some Mango Margaritas with tajin on the rim (which kicked it up a notch). The flavor and spice profile hit the sweet spot just right. Chips and Red/Green Salsa were brought to the table piping hot and ready for dipping. Excellent! Then came the entrées - Mom ordered one Vampiro and one Pollo Taco with a side of Rice & Beans. I ordered a Quesa Birria and a Mar Y Tierra Taco with a side of Rice and Beans. So freaking good! And…Mexican Flan for dessert! Phenomenal! This was a perfect way to end a meal. Not too decadent but also didn’t leave still feeling hungry.
It is clear that the Owner takes pride in his culinary skills and expertise and it truly shines through. You can tell that everything is made from scratch. Nothing canned or microwaved here. Food portions, taste, and quality - all right on point. The flavor and spices meld together on the palate and complement each other very nicely. It’s like I was teleported to a different realm of consciousness. Everything about our visit was reminiscient of and giving me SoCal Vibes.
We will be back to try other Menu items (namely the Mexican Sushi - the Baconador) and I can promise you that we will be regulars here going forward. True standouts for our first visit were Myra and Armando. We enjoyed the delightful conversation. Thanks so much and we’ll be...
