Blue Goose Cantina Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Frisco

It was our first time at this restaurant. We were waiting for a table with some friends for a birthday. The total wait time was about 30mins The restaurant was packed and it was noticeable that this restaurant gave off a good atmosphere and drinks were of good price and selection. $3 margaritas is not bad for the size of drink. Our party sat outside on the patio and it was comfortable and the noise level was moderate to be expected. The service was poor, we requested water and our friend requested a diet coke, which took forever to get. The alcohol drinks came faster than a coke. The water never came until we said something and our waiter disappeared for a while. As our food arrived it was very unorganized, the main fajita plate comes out with just the cheese, salsa and guac. The rice and beans come next without the tortillas. My fajita plate was cold by the time tortillas arrived. The service was not up to par. The chicken was dry and the steak was very good. The rice was terrible and the beans were not great. I understand that this is Tex Mex food, but flavor should be in everything. We may return, but how the party was treated and that they could have advise us of the situation our table was causing we could have resolved the issue before taking our right to...

The restaurant was clean and inviting. The staff worked together well providing enough coverage to keep every table properly covered. My waiter was exceptional, Danny Neville. As all great wait staff should do, he takes pride in doing the best job possible and seemed genuinely concerned while doing it. I'm not sure if this is his full-time career but if so someone needs to recruit him and put him in a position of authority to help teach other young people how to work. Very nice young man. My order was super fast and fresh so the kitchen staff was just as on point as Danny. This restaurant seemed very organized and efficient...more so than most. Kudos to the management who trains which I witnessed personally as one young woman was following a trainer. The food was very good and everyone in the restaurant was very pleased. I saw no issues with anyone's order for my hour-long meal. This seems like a great place for a business meeting or just to take the kiddos for a bite. I came in on June 29th around 6:30pm with my 2 babies, mom, and brother. Silly me for not get both managers names that were working tonight. They deserve such praise and recognition for going over and beyond for my family. They were so genuine and patient and I was just floored by their service. Anyone who has 2 under 2 knows how difficult it can be to go out in public, and how stressful it can be when a tantrum starts. And I the managers saw that in my eyes. Instead of turning their cheek to me and my crying babies, they cleared some tables and got us seated in 5 minutes instead of the 30 min wait time we were quoted. One of the managers brought my son an Apple juice and myself a margarita while we waited on the table. Once we were seated, she brought my son a piece of dough to play with while I got my other baby situated. The acts of kindness I witnessed tonight almost brought tears to my eyes.
