Have been visiting this place for a while and pleasantly surprised with the immediate upgrade on quality of the food and friendly service. It appears that the management changed starting Jul 12th (was told by the waiter when we checked what changed suddenly). Tried Salmon/ Pesto Chicken for the main course and nothing to beat the quality in DFW area. Those were aptly cooked and had nice aroma even on the sauteed vegetables came along with it. Kids were trying appetizers and we did dig-in...those were perfectly cooked and served with lot of care with the condiments. Mac and cheese definitely needs a mention as my 4th grader loved it and she was complimenting the Chef too for that nice work. Interesting part was, the Chef was flexible to make most of the dishes vegetarian friendly, which is going to be great asset as I have too many vegetarian friends. Pleasant surprise at the end was the greetings from the manager and the actual owners themselves thanking us for trying out. Definitely worth a try with the management change. Trying out this weekend too as they are bringing in an experienced person to the bar section. Excited for sure with the last experience. Good luck new management to make it big and I assure you that all my personal gatherings and my corporate gatherings will be in your restaurant. Thanks for the...
Read moreThis is the first negative review I've ever posted. My husband and I went to The Community Grill, in Frisco for the first time last Saturday. There were only 2 other tables besides us so it wasn't very busy. We ordered our drinks and our waitress was asked 3 different times for Sweet N Low which she never did bring. My husband had the Sliced BBQ sandwich, the bun was warm but the meat inside was cold. I had the Cobb Salad that was actually pretty good. We were both out of our drinks for at least ten minutes so I decided to walk up to the counter and ask for refills, and the Sweet N Low. There was also another person that walked up behind me for refills as well. Our waitress had disappeared for a very long time so I tried to ask for help from a man that might have been the owner. Unfortunately, he was too busy standing there watching someone taking pictures of the food that was being prepared. The sad thing was, both of us were looked at several times but no one would help us for at least 5 minutes. Sadly, there was another large group at a table and they were being helped by what appeared to be possibly another owner or GM. As for husband, myself, and this other gentleman and his family that were dining we all were...
Read moreFirst and last time to eat here. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The food was dismal. Don’t expect any fresh food. We had very salty Fried pickles, wings, caprese salad, kids spaghetti and meatball, it’s completely pre packaged freezer to microwave to table. The single meatball was hard as a rock . Have you ever microwaved a meatball too long? This was it. We were actually entertained by the fact anyone would serve it and think it was ok. Location is convenient, place is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Potential exists if they’d stop with the really really bad food and replace with fresh food. We felt so bad for our server having to serve this god awful food that we tipped her 50%. Maybe they’re cutting costs on food to prevent going out of business ? Food is inedible. No way the proprietor could possibly eat this food or think it’s good. They need desperately to try the food at 11/17 in McKinney. If they copy their food then they’re likely to succeed. A shame when all else is there but the food is quite frankly disgusting. Until they make changes to the food there’s no reason to go there. Hope they can get it together. We love supporting...
