McDonald's — Restaurant in Front Royal

Slow. even using the kiosk one would think your order would be correct....wrong! Our orders were still wrong on multiple occations. We used the kiosk and the did the # locator tent to our table, they will bring your food but always forget your drinks. And did I mention slow? Drive through always wrapped around the building and at busy times often into the main road. If it's volume of customers they need to adjust staffing for their peak times, they should know these figures by now. If it's not customer volume, then they need to train these people better. I should add to this review every time I make the mistake of visiting. I've had nothing but incredibly long wait times, with the inside closed for Covid all staff should be working to get and keep drive through moving. My most recent lousy visit was after giving the guy my order about 3 times to get it correct on the screen I pull up and was given half of what I ordered (my wife's order, with my special instructions) and mine completely missing. I told the woman at the window who was the Manager even that it was completely wrong, she said "well I'm not fixing it, you can park and come inside and I'll look at it but this is what you ordered" so I looked at the receipt and saw the guy must have deleted my part of the order off and I only paid for one meal so I left. I'm sure now to be sure and do the survey's on the reciepts, if the management and franchiser don't seem to care maybe corporate will. 10-29-22: Adding to this as I said I would. Another slow drive through experience. One lane of 2 closed, lobby closed, staff should be focused and able. Hah! Guess again. I pull up to the first window, nobody in sight. I was chatting with my wife and didn't notice if the car in front of me paid at window 1 or not so I paused for about 20 seconds more, saw nobody inside so I pulled to window 2. The girl at window 2 then begins to scold me for not paying at window 1 in which I told her there was nobody there so I pulled forward. She then gives me the old "well we are short staffed" story. Sorry I don't care after you scold me like I'm stupid. Take my money and make the transaction, hand me my food quick and accurate. It's not rocket science. I worked McDonalds for 2+ years in high school so I know first hand. They need the coorporate trainers back in and teach these people...

I had stopped in at this McDonald's in past trips with no issue. However, this last time through, I was shocked at how bad service was.

I had stopped in and went to the restroom first, which needed cleaning (dinner rush was over and there were not many customers).

Afterwards, I went to order and let the employees about the restroom's condition and found 1 person ahead of me. There were 3 others waiting for their orders. I could have used a kiosk but have always preferred a person. I noticed nobody was at the register and 4-5 employees, plus a manager, were huddled together chatting by the drive thru.

They never moved for 5 minutes... No orders were given out, and none were taken. I could hear the customers that had ordered grumbling while the gentleman ahead of me waiting to order was silent. No apologies or explanations were made by the employees.

All the while, another 2-3 customers came in and used the kiosk to order. They joined the crowd of waiting customers.

I still had a long trip ahead of me and decided to just leave. I couldn't believe the quality of service. As I said, there wasn't a lot of customers and the dinner rush had been over for an hour or two (it was 7:30 PM). The fact that the employees and manager were content to never move shocked me.

Needless to say, I won't be returning...

I was in a hurry this Morning and Had a friend with me and so I Stopped at the first McDonald's On South street of Front Royal Va And it was bumper to bumper With vehicles at the drive thru So I didn't stop and I went to pick Up my beautiful elderly friend Shirley and we went to the McDonald's out on 522 of Front Royal Va and STOPPED and got My huge cup of coffee first? I've Got to have my Mcd's coffee and It's a treat of mine BECAUSE I don't Go all the time? So I'm having it Now and so my friend seen the Sausage biscuits for a $1.00? And she said? I didn't know they Had biscuits for a dollar? Lol!! Yes she did..she told a little fib? I listen well and don't forget much Of anything? So I bought a large Coffee 2 biscuits and she wanted A ice cream cone? Huh? At 10:35am in the morning. Oh well? Whatever makes her happy? But everything was superb? Just wished the sausage wasn't So greasy and salty? But I don't Have these things often nor do I Eat like this much? So dang Gone it! I had it and I LOVED it! lol!
