CAUTION - READ BEFORE YOU STOP HERE
I don’t know where to start with. The CUSTOMER SERVICE was Pathetic. I have been to a lot of Nepali restaurants and this was never the culture that I am sure Nepalese promote.
The server was “continuously” staring at us. Came to our table multiple times asking repeatedly “Are you guys done eating” My wife literally had a bite in her hand and it was so obvious that none of us were done eating.
We felt extremely unwelcomed. I later asked the server about the urgency he was showing as the restaurant was not even 20 percent occupied and there were a lot of free tables (6-8 free tables were there). His response back was “I thought you were done eating”. Like seriously! We had food in our plates and we were chewing it when you stopped by to ask “are you done eating? // should I take the plates?”
I usually never give bad reviews as I understand the efforts which goes into a business to make it work, but this was one of the most terrible experiences I had so far.
After I confessed to the waiter and when we were about to leave, a lady from my group went to the restroom and the lights were switched off twice when she was inside. She got terribly scared. Not sure if it was out of pure hatred the waiter showed to us but it feels like it was. She literally came out brisk walking and we left immediately.
Due to their pathetic service, the food (which was good) looses all the charm.
I hope the actual owner look into this seriously and get things...
Read moreI can't say enough about the incredible experience I had at Kukuri Nepali restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and attentive service.
Now, let's talk about the food. The naan they served was nothing short of extraordinary. It was soft, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. I can confidently say it's among the best naan I've ever had.
The veg korma entree was a true masterpiece. The blend of spices and the freshness of the vegetables made each bite a delight. It was not only tasty but also left a lasting impression.
As for the ambiance, it was the perfect backdrop to a memorable meal. The restaurant's inviting decor and soothing atmosphere added to the overall experience.
If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Riverton Commons in Front Royal, I wholeheartedly recommend making a visit to Kukuri Nepali restaurant. This is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey that you won't want to miss. The combination of exceptional food, top-notch service, and a charming ambiance makes it a truly unforgettable...
Read morethe food is so delicious that I continue to go despite the vaguely hostile attitude I for whatever reason seem to provoke in the wait staff. Im very polite and tip well (as a lifelong NYer, 25-30%) but they seem annoyed by my existence. Is it because Im a single middle aged woman who dines happily and unapologetically alone? Is it because Im in jeans and paddock boots and generally not wearing make up? I was asked abruptly this summer, without a hint of a smile, “Why is your face so red?”. Lately the check has been being presented while I am in the actual middle of taking a bite while 1/3rd of my meal still remains on the table before me. Yet, despite all this barely restrained, polite hostility, normally easily intimidated me can’t stay away. That’s how good the food is. And the service, while not exactly welcoming to me, is very correct. If you’re not me, they seem to be much friendlier so don’t let my experience put you off getting to eat very good food in a calm,...
