CAUTION - READ BEFORE YOU STOP HERE

I don’t know where to start with. The CUSTOMER SERVICE was Pathetic. I have been to a lot of Nepali restaurants and this was never the culture that I am sure Nepalese promote.

The server was “continuously” staring at us. Came to our table multiple times asking repeatedly “Are you guys done eating” My wife literally had a bite in her hand and it was so obvious that none of us were done eating.

We felt extremely unwelcomed. I later asked the server about the urgency he was showing as the restaurant was not even 20 percent occupied and there were a lot of free tables (6-8 free tables were there). His response back was “I thought you were done eating”. Like seriously! We had food in our plates and we were chewing it when you stopped by to ask “are you done eating? // should I take the plates?”

I usually never give bad reviews as I understand the efforts which goes into a business to make it work, but this was one of the most terrible experiences I had so far.

After I confessed to the waiter and when we were about to leave, a lady from my group went to the restroom and the lights were switched off twice when she was inside. She got terribly scared. Not sure if it was out of pure hatred the waiter showed to us but it feels like it was. She literally came out brisk walking and we left immediately.

Due to their pathetic service, the food (which was good) looses all the charm.

I hope the actual owner look into this seriously and get things...

I can't say enough about the incredible experience I had at Kukuri Nepali restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and attentive service.

Now, let's talk about the food. The naan they served was nothing short of extraordinary. It was soft, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. I can confidently say it's among the best naan I've ever had.

The veg korma entree was a true masterpiece. The blend of spices and the freshness of the vegetables made each bite a delight. It was not only tasty but also left a lasting impression.

As for the ambiance, it was the perfect backdrop to a memorable meal. The restaurant's inviting decor and soothing atmosphere added to the overall experience.

If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Riverton Commons in Front Royal, I wholeheartedly recommend making a visit to Kukuri Nepali restaurant. This is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey that you won't want to miss. The combination of exceptional food, top-notch service, and a charming ambiance makes it a truly unforgettable...

the food is so delicious that I continue to go despite the vaguely hostile attitude I for whatever reason seem to provoke in the wait staff. Im very polite and tip well (as a lifelong NYer, 25-30%) but they seem annoyed by my existence. Is it because Im a single middle aged woman who dines happily and unapologetically alone? Is it because Im in jeans and paddock boots and generally not wearing make up? I was asked abruptly this summer, without a hint of a smile, “Why is your face so red?”. Lately the check has been being presented while I am in the actual middle of taking a bite while 1/3rd of my meal still remains on the table before me. Yet, despite all this barely restrained, polite hostility, normally easily intimidated me can’t stay away. That’s how good the food is. And the service, while not exactly welcoming to me, is very correct. If you’re not me, they seem to be much friendlier so don’t let my experience put you off getting to eat very good food in a calm,...

Great first time experience! Read all the great reviews and decided to try it out. Started with the chicken chili and bread basket. It was one of the best Chicken chili dishes I've ever had! Great combination of sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy. Followed with the tandoori mixed grill, momo, and chicken Tikka masala. The tandoori grill was served on a sizzling skillet and was amazing! The sauteed onions and cabbage it was topped out was my favorite! The Tikka masala was outstanding, and every single bit of it was finished. The sauce was on point! The momos are like Nepalese gyoza if you've never had them, and the filling and dipping sauce are packed with many middle eastern flavors. Lastly we finished with the carrot dessert, which was the perfect flavorful ending. Our server was extremely serious, so we joked with him to smile more, which helped him open up. He was also very attentive to fill up our waters and deliver our food. Overall a great experience.

Started with the mixed vegetable pakora - shredded vegetable fritters fried to a nice, crispy golden brown. Served with 2 sauces. One sweet, the other slightly spicy. Also tried Khukuri Choela. This diced grilled chicken appetizer is seasoned with a rich blend of garlic, ginger, and various and spices, including turmeric, and cumin. It is full of delicious flavor. Moved on to a robust Gorkhali Goat Curry, a fragrant tomato based, seasoned dish. The meat was perfectly tender and seasoned all the way through. Be careful, as goat dishes are known for their sharp bones. Of course I had to try the perfectly crispy, tandoori-toasted garlic naan and a Mango Lassi, the perfect drink to cool the heat of your dish, if you didn't order mild, like I did. Perfect, delightful meal and so much to take home. This was my first time at this restaurant, and I will definitely be back again. Thank you for a great experience!

Good Chai, Paneer Chili and Chicken Chili at this Nepali restaurant. Medium spicy is Indian spicy for the appetizers and perfect for us but choose mild if you are not good with heat. The Chowmein is different than what I’ve had before with some Nepali garam masala type spice but good for a change. Skip the momos as they were just okay. The service was interesting as the server tried to repeatedly remember our order by memory instead of noting it down.. I’m not sure why this is the service style but it led to some back and forth. Not a big issue but created some anxiety for the customer and eventually led to an additional item in our bill which they promptly took off when told. Still I would recommend checking out if you’re in the area and craving some Nepali food.
