We stopped in Gianni's to get a bite while on a train stopover. It was one of the only places open and they made sure to let us know that by demonstrating their awful customer service skills. It was completely dead in there with the exception of one family who was already eating. It's one of those order at the counter places where you can dine in or dine out. My husband and I stood at the counter (front and center) for a full five minutes, while two employees stood there not acknowledging our presence. We finally received some service and we paid $20 for a 10" pizza, a Stromboli and two soft drinks. We were not impressed with the service so we didn't tip on our card. Usually I wait and see how the service is following the initial encounter and if it improves, I tip in cash. Unfortunately in this circumstance, no cash tip was given. We waited 30 minutes before asking about when our meal might be done. The girl who helped us laughed and went and got our meals from on top of one of the ovens. We watched them put those boxes up there about 15 minutes prior, not realizing they had anything in them. By the time we got our meals, it was time to get back on the train, which does NOT allow outside food. So we might as well have just thrown $20 in the trash.
As a side note: the place was dirty, run down, half of their video games were broken and I wouldn't be surprised to find bugs in their kitchen with the way they clean house (aka...
Read moreAlthough I still stand by my original review for that time, I wanted to post an update. My past three orders have been fine and the owner reached out to me regarding my review. He agreed that he had bad management during that time and the issue with quality control and confusion on their website have been improved. The deliveries have been quicker (35-45 minutes) and the food has been more like what I remembered when they first opened, at least the pizza. The last pizza was cooked and sauced well, and completely covered in cheese unlike some of their "chain" competitors in the area. I updated my rating to 3/5 stars.
Original Review from 2013: (1 star) Constantly the worst customer service of any food service in the area. They have a website that doesn't give you any insight of what you are buying. For example "Mac and Cheese" is listed but, its not Mac and Cheese, they are deep fried Mac and Cheese bites.
If you are hungry and want your food within the next hour, order elsewhere. There are several other decent pizza places less then...
Read moreOrdered two pizzas from them. One was a Canadian Chick Pizza. Not mentioned in the ingredients was that it contained Canadian bacon. I guess the title should of given me a clue but no. Second pizza I ordered I hoped would be better. Made sure to carefully read the title and ingredients as to not make the same mistake again. Settled on the Grandfather pizza which was just plain awful. I was hoping for a basil and feta cheese style pizza with mozzarella but instead got a half-assed cheese pizza that looked like a 3 year old made it. With cheese only covering about 1/3 of the pizza i was greatly disappointed. Sick with their Buffalo Chicken Pizza because so far, its the only pizza ive been able to finish without giving it to my...
