Nicole's On The River — Restaurant in Fruit Cove

Wanted to give it a try, love to support local businesses. Waited a while for anyone to come to our table with menus. Server never even looked at us. Was looking out the door the entire time, once she came to the table. I ordered 2 pancakes, with scrambled eggs, and sausage. Did not know they served brown and serve sausage patties. Not impressed. Pancakes were good though, and scrambled eggs were your typical scrambled eggs. Husband ordered a wrap type breakfast, forgot the name, he asked for sausage gravy on top, the server looked at him like he was crazy. Also he ordered 2 pancakes. The wrap thing he ordered was meh. When the food finally came out, 2 people delivered, server was still looking at the door... anyway, they dropped the food and left. Husbands pancakes were not with his order. We were going to ask about them, but never saw our server. About the time we were going to get up and ask they be removed from the bill, a different server showed up and asked if we were waiting on pancakes, left them on the table and walked away. Unfortunately, our first experience here wasn't great. Well not return. Not worth the $30ish...

First time visiting Nicole's and last. Sat at the bar. Staff was attentive and lively. The reason for the 2 star is the attitude of Nicole, the lack of sanitary etiquette and lack of concern for customer request. First, Nicole is very rude to her staff. She called one of her waitress "stupid" and did not care that customers could hear her comments about this particular waitress (who by the way she had negative comments to say about her the entire time we were there). Secondly, we watched Nicole scratch her head several times and not wash her hands just continued to prepare food as well as the other cook use her hands without gloves to put food on the plate. Lastly, myself and another customer requested our food a certain way and you could tell Nicole didn't appreciate the customer's request as it was not prepared as requested. This was our first and last time at this establishment. Do better Nicole! Treat your staff better and for goodness sake be more sanitary in...

After hearing great things I stopped in for lunch. We (party of 2) got there just after 11am. We sat ourselves per the sign. Place was going strong. We got drinks and ordered sandwiches. That is as good as I can say. After 1:20pm I asked where food was after seeing several other guests getting their seafood dinners and fresh hot food. The waitress said it was just busy and our food was then brought. A grilled ham-n-cheese and a special roast beef. Both sandwiches were cold. Room temp forgotten cold. It was obvious the server forgot us and didn't say anything and served bad food. The potatoes salad and macaroni salad was off. Obviously sat out on the service table for over an hour. The food did make me I'll. Not poisoned but was not good and went right back out later even though only part was eaten. Paid and left a reduced tip and will not return. I can not and will not recommend the establishment as the server lied and the bad food could have caused illness...
