Duck Blind Coffee — Restaurant in Fulton

Stopped by this cute little gem right on the water on the way back home-sunday 7/9/23. Was on the fence which coffee shop to stop by because there are so many choices in this town. So glad we chose this one! Blonde girl helped us out (sorry didn’t catch her name) she was very patient with us while taking our order and dealing with our indecisiveness and we were just a plain hot mess lol. They served snow-cones and smoothies as well as coffee so both kids and mom/dad were happy, oh and the dog too because they had pup cups! Also spent way less than anticipated. Added bonus- they had a little Rockport souvenir shop next door, so we didn’t have to leave empty handed. Tourist tip: Also worth driving by the famous slanted trees and the fulton mansion on the...

I love this place! I gave 4 stars because there is an older woman (possibly named Candy?). And she has absolutely no idea what she is doing. Today was the 3rd time that she’s made my order. And she has messed it up every. single. time. She doesn’t understand the cup sizes. She’s doesn’t know how much espresso to put in the drinks. Then she has the audacity to give an attitude when you tell her it’s wrong. Also, she was training a new girl today, which is REALLY concerning. Because I think ‘ol Candy is the one who needs training, and lots of it. If I see her working, I will just keep driving and go somewhere else. I had finally received all my stars on a card they physically hand out. They had a star puncher. I left back home to San Antonio. When I came back to Rockpoort, I was so happy to present my free coffee card, but the girl said "we are not taking those anymore, people are punching their own cards". She could clearly see I did not punch my own card. But nope, didn't apologize. Didn't give me my free coffee. Had to start all over again. They talk over each other and get orders wrong. Listening to the customer next to me and giving me the type of iced coffee SHE asked for. They don't apologize and insist they are right and you are wrong. On a positive note... Starbucks has finally come...
