We stopped by the store during our visit to the area, and it’s a nice shop with an impressive variety of lures to get you on the fish in Rockport.

The employee or owner wearing sunglasses wasn’t particularly personable at first, but I still decided to purchase an Abu Garcia Pro Max from them. The price was comparable to online retailers, which was a good incentive to buy local. When I asked if the reel could be used in saltwater, the response was, “All the reels we sell here can be used in saltwater.” While this isn’t entirely wrong, there is a notable difference between reels specifically designed for saltwater and freshwater reels that can be used in saltwater with extra care.

To be sure, I contacted Abu Garcia directly, and they confirmed that this baitcaster is not inshore-rated. However, they did mention that if used in saltwater, it’s important to thoroughly rinse it with fresh water after each use.

Just remember that nugget of info if you too buy reels in the area.

Seaworthy Marine is a must visit store in Fulton. Had the opportunity to speak with Terryville and this alone was worth the visit. He went out of his way to inform us on all different aspects of fishing tackle and marine equipment. He could have just sold us what we were looking for instead informed us in great detail on the difference in products he had to offer and or had on order. We were also looking for a specific gps and fish finder that has been discontinued that he no longer had. Well yes he went in got on phone with manufacturer and bam he got one coming no money up front just pure customer service. Will be seeing him for all my marine needs. Thank you...

Absolutely would not recommend, I had a thru hull transducer installed that was recommended by the owner and it does not work. When I tried to talk to him about what I could to do to resolve the problem he said that it is not going to work and that there is nothing he can or will do about it and that was the end of the conversation. The wrong transducer was installed and it was put in backwards. And my phone calls have not been returned. I would recommend you go somewhere else, maybe you can find a 1-armed blind monkey as they would do a better job than Terrys...
