My Way Tavern — Restaurant in Fuquay-Varina

My sister put in a take out order for us around 3:00pm for a later pick up time of 6:30pm. When I got there at 6:30, the hostess went and checked on our order in the kitchen. She came back and told me, "the kitchen said you just put your order in 30 seconds ago." I explained, it was put in several hours ago for a 6:30 pick up time. She told me no, that 6:30 was the time they would start cooking it. I left and came back 15 minutes later because that's how long they told me it would be. I was told it was still not ready. I shared my order confirmation with the girl at this time which clearly stated to pickup my order at 6:30. I even told her I wasn't upset but if I put something in for 6:30 and it doesn't go to your kitchen until that time then something is wrong with the system. She continued to argue with me even after I showed her that. A few minutes later she did come back and said she told the manager and they yelled at the kitchen that the time on my order did indeed mean the food should have been ready at that time. I finally received my order at 7:00. I never received an apology for the wait or the mix up. I do have to say the food was delicious and we really enjoyed it, but felt like from a customer service standpoint, my entire interaction was inappropriate and lacking...

We are sooooooo thrilled that we have MY WAY in Fuquay Varina! We were introduced to MY WAY in downtown Raleigh years ago and loved it! Then MY WAY in Holly Springs opened and we loved that restaurant as well and visited often! And now we are beyond happy that Fuquay has a MY WAY to call our own. I want to give a SHOUT OUT to Randy - The Chef! I don't know how he gets salmon cooked PERFECTLY every time I get it at MY WAY. And I order it almost every time we go. He has to be one of the best chefs ever as all of the food at MY WAY is over the top delicious! And Jessie Mae and T and Ashlyn, our bartenders, are so amazing! They are always so friendly and always smiling and laughing and they are such professionals at their careers! We love them! And Ryan, the front of the house manager.....WAY TO GO RYAN! He is wonderful and very responsive to all of the guests that walk into the front door! He makes MY WAY a wonderful place to dine and have a night out with family and friends! I'm bringing the entire family back in September for my birthday! Your employees and the delicious food keep us coming every week! I can't wait to see everyone at MY WAY again! First time trying this place and I can’t say I was too impressed with the drinks and some of the food items. It was 5 of us on a Friday night so it was a busy night but it was still a nice atmosphere. I’ll start with the good, I ordered the pork chop which was really good it was surprising flavorful and the apple sauce was amazing. My husband got the Cajun pasta which was also very good with the exception of the chicken (it was very dry) but the sauce was creamy with a kick of spice. Now the cons, the raspberry chipotle wings although cooked really well the sauce was just sweet it was more of a raspberry jam, not what I was expecting. The worst part of the night were the drinks, the first one was called strangers in the night and it was pure syrup, it tasted like a grape cough syrup, I sent it back and even though they remade it and it was somewhat better it still was on the sweeter side. Not to mention there was like zero alcohol in the drinks, I finished that drink plus an espresso martini and didn’t feel even a little buzz. One of my friends ordered the Christmas mojito and even though it tasted really good there was also like no alcohol. So bottom line some of the food was good, some were disappointing and the drinks are just not worth...
