I've been here twice for lunch. The first time their credit / debit card machine was broken and I didn't have any cash. Today, a Friday, was my second visit. When I arrived at 1:00 all seats were full and the line was to the door, so obviously a popular place. I left and came back 20 minutes later and the line was gone, however all of the seats were full.
I placed my order for three tacos, and 45 minutes later they were ready. They were excellent, as good as any I've ever had, but the wait is simply not acceptable for lunch at a "fast service" type of restaurant. '
Hopefully they can improve the speed of filling orders, because I would really like to make this restaurant a few times a week.
As I said above, the tacos were great, they have a salsa bar with several types of table salsa and also lettuce and other toppings to add to your meal.
The staff were very friendly, and the food was so good that I'll give them several more tries, just not at lunch when I'm pressed for time.
Update - Since posting the review above, I have been here twice in the evening. Both times it took less than 5 minutes to get my order, and it was excellent both times. The food was fresh and the portions were generous. This is authentic food, not your typical Americanized Mexican fare. Try the horchata for a delicious way to tame the heat if you get carried away at...
Read moreFood was very good! Chicken Enchiladas with the green sauce was my favorite. The red says read also good. Dining area was freezing when the AC kicked on. The Salsa and condiment bar items tasted good but could use a better setup. Tables were pretty cramped together. No free refills on the chips. Canned or bottled sodas, no free refills. We are a family of five and our bill was just over $50. We showed up when only one customer was in the store, around 5:30 on a Sunday. By the time our food was ready there was a long line at the counter. Overall, restaurant/good food truck-authentic food & prices, but with a fast...
Read moreGot 3 tacos and a horchata. $12, which isn't bad. Tacos arrived quickly. I got an asada, pastor and a chorizo. All 3 were completely unadorned. No onion, no cilantro no lime, no radish - maybe you have to ask for that explicitly? There's a salsa bar, but no labels. No clue what's what, and no little cups to even sample. Only soft drink options are in bottles or cans, but the horchata was decent. Could have used more cinnamon. The tacos, despite being very plain were actually great. Liked all 3. No pineapple in the pastor that I could taste though. Dining room is a little dumpy, but...
