Mahana Fresh — Restaurant in Fuquay-Varina

We were very excited for the opening of this restaurant. Fuquay is in desperate need of a quick and easy restaurant with actual healthy options. This restaurant definitely fills that hole. However, the food right now just isn’t what we were hoping for. The “signature” menu items lack uniqueness and the flavor just wasn’t something that makes you want to come back for more. My bowl specifically had rice that was dry with lots of hard overcooked pieces in it. With that being said, I do think there is huge potential for Mahana Fresh to be a great addition to Fuquay. My wife and I went to eat here today around 5:30pm. It must not have been a good time to go. Most all of the food that was out was at or near the bottom of the container and all of it looked dried up. Fresh was not a word that I would use to describe how the food looked. We were away on vacation when the restaurant opened. I was eagerly anticipating our return so I could experience it for myself. Since coming back, I've already visited twice. Each visit has been a delightful experience. The food is not only bursting with flavor but also offers a wide array of healthy options, which I truly appreciate and was much needed in the area.
