(Deleting the review in a week since I dont want to leave lasting negative implications for this location since GS as a whole is important for the hobby. Theres also the chance the workers were simply having a bad day.)
The company has tied the hands of employees from my experience here that they are no longer able to offer decent customer service on online exchanges if done diring a sale.
The manager seemed like a pretty decent guy as did the employees, but the experience today did put the nail in the coffin for me shopping at Gamestop.
I'm keeping the a 2 star largely because of an employees decision to go from super friendly and cordial to completely shutting down and becoming an anti.social goober.
I get the reasoning for the "sales over" reasoning but on an online order how could I have had a chance to even get to the store before the sale ended.
Oh well, a 54 dollar used game without a case or art is not worth my money even if I did get one for free and an inability to do an exchange minutes after the package was delivered is insanity.
Edit: Back down to one star seems the manager either is unaware of Gamestop policies, was on slme sort of power trip, or simply could not comprehend the situation despite having things laid out for them. Had the problem resolved the next day and in the end because of the poor service here it Gamestop lost ten dollars despite my request that I didnt want any sort of windfall.
If a simple exchange were handled correctly rather than doing a king of the mountain routine an equal exchange could have been carried out.
In the end this store took my time and hurt gamestops bottom line.
(I did purchase a new game from the other store so that the transaction would.not simply show a interactiin...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTry not to give but reviews but sheesh. I Wanted to buy blue light filtering glasses. However, was told by the associate that I couldn't try them on. Then was told I couldn't return them, only exchange them, if I didn't like them or they didn't work like I had hoped. Who the heck buys glasses blindly, without an option to return them?! Really hope the employee was ignorant of the return policy and this wasn't actually the case. The return policy is written so obscure on the GameStop website that it seems the can just do, or not do, whatever they feel like that day. I get only doing exchanges for games or damaged items... But glasses?! You'd think a small chain store that is losing revenue by the day would try to get and keep business, not drive them away. I try to support local businesses but if I'm going to blindly purchase glasses, I'll just do it on Amazon where I know I can return it. This is not the only issue I've had with this specific Game Stop. They have lost yet another customer to the Amazon machine. The advantage of having stuff locally is convenience. That appears not to be the case...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThose is where I'm supposed to boast about the story and the selection and Yada Yada but I can't. It was very disappointing to walk in and see they had Xbox series X in stock.NO that's not the dissapointing part the dissapointing part is even though Walmart next door also had them in stock Gamestop being the greedy cooperation they are we're only selling them in bundles. I've seen these systems in countless other stores being sold as stand alone units but yet gamestop being gamestop still is trying to push sales that nobody wants. And the employees are smug about it like there the only game in town (pun). I quit hoin to gamestop for a while and just thought I'd stop in but bow I know why I...
