Wendy's — Restaurant in Gaines Charter Township

The only reason it's 2 is because the young man at the first window was very nice but everything else about this experience was awful. Clearly the person who took my order was not that young man and was not paying attention when I said ketchup only for my burger. A burger that took at least 6 minutes to make by the way while I waited while being stared at by the staff who were just standing around talking. They didn't even notice no one had given me my drink which had been sitting there since I arrived at the window. Normally I have no issues at this location but this has to be spoken out about. I can't eat lettuce due to a medical condition and my burger was full of it along with many other things I just don't like. As soon as I got to the window the staff all walked away from it. Maybe a little more attention to customers and less to what ever conversation behind the scenes would have produced a burger I could eat.

Update: Pushing my review to one star now because after giving this location a 2nd chance 4 days later, it let me down again. Service was faster still slightly rude but faster none the less but same mistake made once again with the exact same order. If you make a special request at this location don't expect them to even listen to it even if you are very clear about it. Didn't get my receipt by choice last time but made sure to this time. This is ridiculous for such a simple request. I won't be back to this...

First time in this windy since they remodeled it. We ended up going in at the very tail end of breakfast. We actually went through drive-thru to make sure they were open for breakfast because we weren't sure. We ended up having two breakfast sandwiches with potato wedges, and French toast sticks, we thought we were getting coffee with our drinks didn't know we were getting pop so we ended up having to pay for the coffee which we thought would be included with the meal. The restaurant was clean since we were the only ones there they hadn't even flipped over the breakfast menu is from the day before. Had a very strong cup of coffee which was nice. Young man that was waiting on us was slightly confused but was very pleasant. The manager of the restaurant came over and said they hadn't made coffee so they were making us a fresh batch. Back of the house floors were clean which we are very happy with because prior management didn't seem to really take care that the floors were dirty usually scattered with fries and everything else. That's why we have not been back for quite a while, it was downright disgusting at points. It was nice that they had the fireplace on but the TV was not on. Not sure if we'll dine again inside but will definitely grab the breakfast sandwiches to go for...

They made it right (with the best friendly customer service) when I had to wait on 2 4 pc chicken tenders for 2 of my 4 kids! As you can imagine how they would react if 2 of them started eating their food (otherwise waiting their food would've got cold while waiting for their siblings to get HOT/FRESH FOOD! It was later at night so they had us pull up to wait but first they gave my kids (including the 2 whom had to wait on chicken) their drinks AND fries while they waited they could eat something instead of complaining how unfair it was they had to wait but others didn't (remember we're talking about 2 three yr olds 1 4 yr old and a 10 year old!) So waiting was a breeze with four happy kids and A Mom n Dad too! ;) Then when they brought the food out they gave each of the kids fresh nuggets n free frostys for our wait and inconvenience! Needless to say they all went home with full bellies and happy faces! So thanks Wendy's Late Night Staff...
