It looked very well organized, as Cracker Barrel always does but today is the second time I've patronized the restaurant and my experience has been highly out of the ordinary. This morning I had to call the gentleman an eraserhead, because no one in the restaurant could remember how to cash out a customer. Holy fruit-infused Thumans baloney - Fatman! The service here was like a hybrondo of Hondo and Sloth, I'd call a Shlondorf, cuz I'm in Florida feel like Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff other than the instigational urinational tic-tacs I'm dealing with. Other than FastBreak taking floorever to cash me outside, Dine-Fast was different than the morning. I ordered a skip meal and they gave me a rib tips that took forever to cook. The sides was warm but the main course was cold, as if intentionally held back to instigate me. Why? Cuz I told nice guy Patrick I was homeless and people like to screw with me. Rather than ensuring I got a dignified meal, what the man do? He didnt have the courtesy to ensure a homeless guy got a hot meal. The second time around the meat was not tasty, tasty like pervert sauce on top. The sides were colder than a witches Tiffy. And I love Cracker Barrel and it pains me to make this my last supper. At least I left Judas to kick rocks on 20 4th Street and 420 Trees out of my life. This meal was a psychedelic experience getting half of a hot meal tasting like manmilk, the second time around the vegetables tasted like purple eggplant and I ordered a flipping bean green with cockolip.

There is a lot to be said about service at a Cracker Barrel. My girlfriend and I rented 2 Airbnbs in the area (The Loft and Lake Butler). Relaxation and away from the grind is what we were looking for. There are 2 Cracker Barrel’s to go to each about 25 minutes from each location mentioned above. This one receives absolute 5 stars for cleanliness, superb customer service, personality, friendliness, attention to detail, great food made correctly, and as much as I could possibly say to make this review more than it is already. Price for food was fairly priced as well making everything perfect on this visit in Gainesville. If you are reading this review you will be pleasantly happy with going here. The other one in Lake city I would not visit at all, which is why we ended up here with a Gold Card for the worst service we have ever had in any restaurant, so make sure not to go there. Gainesville Cracker Barrel is the place to be and rates more than 5 stars in our book. Thanks for a lovely and pleasurable dinner.

We waited over an hour for our food and the coffee was cold. Once our food arrived we noticed that one of the meals was missing ingredients, apparently they were out of those items and did not inform us. It was supposed to have hashbrowns, crispy bacon, tomatoes and friend onions. What was given was hash browns with a glob of cheese and undercooked bacon. The smoked sausage was not given. When asked about it the waitress said that is all that they had and she figured that I wanted meat so she gave what she thought was a good replacement. The pancakes were far from round and looked thrown together. Also, the silverware was dirty. We should have left like many others did. One elderly couple didn't even wait for their food to come and another family left after taking a few bites. I reached out to Cracker Barrel thru their website and was offered ONE free meal after spending over $70.00. I would not recommend this location and frankly after receiving one free meal voucher I'd likely never support this restaurant.

My wife and I have tried to give this restaurant a chance but each time they have failed miserably. We went for dinner about a week ago. I order the Fried Chicken and she ordered the Sliced Turkey. We also tried the hashbrown casserole potato ball appetizer. The first issue was our service. She had no clue what pieces of chicken came with the Chicken Dinner. She was extremely inattentive and had to ask for everything as she took no initiative. Our appetizer came out and it was cold. The cheese on the top would not even melt. The bacon on top was cold like it was right out of the refrigerator. We promptly sent them back and the manager came out. My wife explained the issue to him. He took them back and remade them and they came out hot and fresh this time because he stated he did it himself. I asked the manager, when he returned what pieces of chicken came on my meal. He advised it was a breast, thigh, wing, and leg. I stated thank you and that was great. When our meals came my plate had 2 thighs, a wing and leg. The manager brought our food and I asked him why 2 thighs and no breast and he stated he had no idea. He then came back and said we are out of breasts and I am not sure why. He then stated he would have the cooks drop a boneless chicken breast to take the place of the missing piece of chicken. He then came back out several minutes later and stated the cooked dropped a bone in breast. I advised the manager that would take a while to cook and my wife already had her meal. He said OK but he would make sure it was done quickly. After thirty minutes no chicken breast. My wife stopped another server as ours was not where to be found our entire meal. She asked where the chicken was and she stated she would go check on it. The breast had been cooked and left sitting on the hot hold the entire time. No one checked on it, our server never checked on it and the manager were busy doing something else. I never touched the chicken on my plate because it was cold when it was brought out. My mac and cheese were the only item hot on my plate. My fries tasted like they were cooked the day prior. My entire plate with 5 pieces of chicken was sent back and I ate mac and cheese and the appetizer. It seems regardless of when we have gone into this location, we always have an issue with the quality of food or the service. We have tried now 5 times with this restaurant and only had a great experience once at breakfast. We have now decided this is not the place for us. It seems there is no leadership and high turnover. Every waitress on the night of this incident had not stars on their aprons. I questioned the manager on duty and he stated they were all newer that’s why they are on nights. It was obvious that night that the cooks were new also. This experience was a train wreck...

So I go to the hostess & tell her I'm there to pick up online order, she says when it's ready they'll bring it out. The app said my order would be ready at 3 58pm. I arrived at 4 04. I walk around the store while she stands around talking to other employees. I assume, wrongly, she will let me know when it's brought out. I finally walk back to where orders are brought out, there sits 2 bags of food. The cashier calls her over for another customers mistake on their bill. After she takes care of that, she sees me standing by orders of food. Rather than checking if it's my food, she just walks past me, back to other employees. That's when I say, excuse me, is this my food here, she walks over, asks my name, looks at first bag, not mine, looks at receipt of 2nd bag, says my name out loud, but decides, she needs to double check the name on the bag of food, making me wait, knowing it's my food after repeating name on bag. She was a snob, she wanted to talk, rather than assist a customer who she knew was waiting on their food. The time was now 4 28 pm! She let my food sit there, knowing I was waiting on it,without even bothering to check whose food was brought out. What kind of hostess does this? She looked down on me,made me wait, while I just stood there. She saw the food sitting there, yet still just talked away to other employees, than walked right past me,while I stood there. It was inexcusable! I waited 30 minutes for food I shouldnt of had to wait for! So ya it was cold by time I got it. Chicken was good, fruit was good, the cheese bites were not good, couldn't even taste the cheese, mashed potatoes probably would of been good,if they weren't cold. Overall I was very disappointed. Allowing me to stand there while food got cold ,walking past me,after knowing I was waiting,so not bothering to see if it was ready. She wasn't polite to start with. She should not be a hostess. She failed miserably, making Cracker Barrel in...

When we first sat down and ordered water, she said they were out of water cups, which I had to cut some slack because I work in the food service industry and get how it is. However, even after we were seated more people came in and they got glass cups which baffled all of us because it doesn’t take that long to ask the kitchen to clean more glasses. But then while somebody at our table was ordering chicken tenders, the waitress cut her off and yelled across the room to ask if cracker barrel still had them, then proceeded to completely walk away. When the food finally came, the waitress decided to inform me right then that cracker barrel didn’t have my order in stock. She could’ve at least let us know ahead of time before waiting until all the food was done. And then the waitress stared at me expecting me to know what’s on the menu, even though she never brought a menu back and I had to ask for one. Our waitress was walking around and dropped a spoon on the ground which I thought was pretty obvious because of how loud it was, but she kept walking away. Another waitress came around and picked it up, which is ridiculous because our waitress shouldn’t have other people pick of after herself. Not to mention the food was mediocre at best, the chicken was dry and stringy, the biscuits were still doughy and very salty, and the catfish was under seasoned. After we were done with our food and payed, the ticket looked a little expensive for two meals and a side of okra, it turned out that our waitress still left the food that wasn’t in stock on our ticket so we had to ask the cashier to take it off since I never got the food. Overall the service was very bad, good thing I live in a different state because I definitely will not be coming back. (The waitresses name was Jennifer and she had...
