The store at Archer Rd and I-75 needs a ton of customer service training. Last 3 visits, order half and half tea...sour. When you complain, "oh can I get you something else?" No, I want tea. "We don't have time to fix any fresh.". Translation : you are not important enough for me to bother!
When I got the manager involved, the server was told to brew fresh. She did...she brewed it and I went through my entire meal with a glass of water and the brewed tea sitting on the counter, untouched. When the server finally asked if everything was ok, told her no, I wanted tea with my breakfast. Her response was an indignant, Well,I brought you some water!". Then she proceeded to want to argue with me. Her manager was right there and really did nothing. I told her to do her job and teach the server that arguing with a customer is not done. The manager told her to finish making the tea. She told me it would be ready in a minute. I told her I was done eating so I didn't need it. She copped an attitude and told the server, "don't worry about it, he don't want it now!". We left and the unfinished brewed tea was still sitting on the counter, untouched.
Don't overlook the real issue. 3 random visits over a 2-3 month period. Am I just lucky, or do they have sour tea quite often?
I go to other Waffle House stores and don't have...
Read moreI travel A LOT and small quick places to eat are a part of that. I was staying at a hotel in the area and I found myself at this Waffle House location in Gainesville. The first morning, I ordered a regular breakfast of 2 scrambled eggs with bacon, toast and coffee. I explained to the waitress that I wanted my eggs BEAT so that I didn't see the egg white on my eggs. I can't eat egg white if I see it, I just can't. When the waitress, who was newly training that day, told the grill cook, a young man named Bernard, how I wanted my eggs, he immediately took the initiative to put my eggs in the blender. So maybe that doesn't seem like a big deal to anyone else but it truly was. I NEVER get my eggs done right. There's always those white chunks of egg in my yellow egg. I have even asked other cooks at other waffle houses to use the blender and they don't for some reason. I won't eat them. That's a constant disappointment to me. So it was a huge deal to me to have a wonderful breakfast done correctly. And to top that, it was a training day and there were about 13 employees in that small area. But what a great manager! Everyone was cleaning, cooking, communicating and getting the job done as a team. It all flowed easily and successfully. What a great location!! 5...
Read moreArrived at this location tonight around 7:30 pm. Four booths were occupied and all the other tables had high chairs on top of the tables which is quite unsanitary. My wife asked the male behind the counter why were the tables blocked. He replied I am the only server. I'm not sure why he could only handle 4 tables. The menu is extremely simple and not complicated at all. It seems this location tries to keep customers away especially in the evening. It seems their is always an issue or problem. Their is a serious lack of consistency from day to day and hour to hour. The best part all four tables already had their food so again I'm not sure what the issue is or was other than being lazy. We left and then we saw two tables preparing to leave. It seems the issue was nothing more than laziness. Waffle House used to be a place you could count on for consistency. The Archer Rd location has changed that thought process altogether. Inconsistent, the younger servers have zero customer service, lack knowledge and work ethic. They have used every excuse to for customers to go elsewhere. This will no longer be a place we visit with any...
