My hubby told me how great this place is and since I've never tried them, he brought me here for lunch at my first 5 Guys for a well-done double hamburger (with almost all the fixings aka the 'All the Way' style burger), large cajun fries, large regular fries, and a chocolate shake. We will definitely come back again (: We got there around 11am on Saturday so we were actually the 1st customers of the day. Their team got the order 100% correct. Bailey, the girl at the register, was really friendly and polite plus the guys behind the counter were nice to us when we asked for condiments after our order was ready for pickup. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves. Also, the tables are arranged to respect social distancing (4 seats at each of the 8 tables). We were originally planning on eating there since initially no one else was there, but (of course) several hungry customers started to come in as we were waiting for our order and we decided to eat in our car instead. While you wait for your order, it's fun (and comforting) to see the food being made right there and the fresh ingredients that are used to make the patties and fries are reflected in the way the food tastes. We took photos of the food since eating these burgers is a messy activity due to the juiciness of the meat. Surprisingly very lean burger meat compared to ANY fast food chain I've tried and absolutely no random bones or ligaments in the meat. We ordered double hamburgers so we appreciated the higher quality meat. The burger looks small, but it's deceiving since they are much more filling and hearty than you'd think. The cajun fries and regular fries were excellent (fresh, not too soft, not too hard, spiced just right) and a Large is definitely enough for 3 to 5 people, so we had plenty left over to put in the oven and have as a snack the next day. The chocolate shake was made well; wasn't too sweet or bland. Perfect blend of the syrup in the ice cream. And they didn't put whipped cream, just as I asked :) Overall a great first-time customer experience and I'm encouraged to visit 5 Guys in Gainesville again when we get that fast food lunch craving, maybe in 3 months ;) Thanks for making this a memorable moment!

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger (lettuce, pickle, BBQ sauce) with little cajun fries. Fries were cold, bun was soggy, lettuce was wilted, the tomatoes (which I didn't order) were disgusting, the pickles were missing, the bacon was burned, and I never tasted the BBQ-- most of it seemed to be on the wrapper, along with the cheese. This is a $20 meal?!??! I should have gone to Burger King. Two stars because the burger patties themselves were pretty good.

Fast and friendly service from the employees but the burgers are a bit overpriced. The double cheese with all the toppings tasted fantastic. The seating area is spacious and kid friendly. Plus side is free peanuts to nibble on while you wait. I would possibly come back if I was in the area.

When I go out for food I'm looking for an experience that is unique, that stands out against the crowd, and while the food was incredibly delicious and they some uniqueness to their food. For instance fries in a cup, or pouring extra into the bag, is simply was left wanting more. What sets a 5 star apart from a 4 star experience, is the kick over the top, and I simply didn't get that here.

10 things that are notable at this establishment

  1. a mix and match fountain drink machine with added flavors
  2. cleanliness they go above and beyond to prevent the exposure of covid 1] clean countertops 2] request for customers not to pay with cash 3] germ guard screens Good extra preventative measures
  3. a good demeanor (while not over the top customer friendly [in my oppinion], it is still definitely friendly)
  4. good variety (not a lot of places have a mix of flavors and foods) (I would note the place to be all American cuisine and not multicultural) but definitely a good variety of American foods
  5. lots of great dine in space
  6. handicap accessible wide line for easy wheel chair accessible access first took note of this when ordering a rail at pay area for people who might be wheel chair bound to lift themselves to pay and low enough card reader if they can't
  7. great and friendly design with lots of history on the place on the walls and a lot to look at
  8. great uniform design
  9. it reminds me of those all American skate to your window joints back in the day when drive-in movie theaters were still big
  10. all around great well rounded practices

5 negative things I noticed

  1. not quick serving speed
  2. not overly helpful
  3. didn't really give me that over the top 5 star experience
  4. would love to see it stay open a little later (closes at 10pm) (it's gainesville
  5. drop the prices slightly (50$ for 2 burgers a large fry 2 large drinks and a large shake is a bit to high for me to come back frequently without it having something that pushes it over the top)

Overall decent experience, not busy at all, so speed concerns me. But in the end, good food would I give it any 2tru review badges, 2 of them.

The 2Tru Clean Eating Badge The 2Tru Family Friendly Eating Badge

Would I eat here more than once a month, no, not worth the downsides to the dining experience would I eat here once a month absolutely.

Good experience

Good service

And good quality

Could use a little bit of work 😊 No hard feelings, I'm not trying to be to harsh, just honest. Have a blessed night.

Visited FEB 02, 2018 about noon. I did not note anything special about the food or establishment. Our burgers were served on very cold buns; must of been right out of the refer. The meat patties did not seem to be freshly cooked - the inside was cool while the outside was barely warm. Not warm enough to melt the cheese! I would guess pre-cooked and placed under a warmer. The tomatoes were also very cold - cold tomatoes are pretty much tasteless. I will say, however, that the burgers are nice and juicy, although cold. Good burgers should always be messy juicy and served hot. Toasted buns would be nice. The fries were hot and golden crispy. WAY to much salt! The music in the dining area was a bit too loud. Food was scattered over the floor under many tables. Table tops not clean - we cleaned our own. This was during lunch but not so busy as to preclude some minor housekeeping. Food is way overpriced - $24 dollar meal should be served properly - not in a paper bag. Not very appetizing. The rest rooms were tidy and reasonable clean. I feel that this location does not meet the quality and standards asserted by the parent...
