I’ve been here before and the bagel was solid and they also had good fresh orange juice. However, I went there this past weekend at around 1:30 (fairly close to closing time I admit so I do apologize), but I ordered an onion bagel and sat down. A woman then comes out and tells me they are all out of bagels except one weirdly shaped whole wheat bagel. I was open-minded, since it seemed like there wasn’t any other option and I’m not super picky about bagels flavors. It was the worst bagel I have ever had. I’m not kidding. It was weirdly dry and also tasted like sawdust. I’m just disappointed she didn’t offer me a refund and instead gave me this deformed, broken whole wheat bagel. Also, I got a combo thinking the orange juice would be fresh, but it was just in a tropicana bottle out of a cooler in the front. The coffee tasted like water. I’m just sad. I liked this place. I can’t believe I spent $8 on a bagel I didn’t want and bad drinks. Time to find a new bagel place :/ EDIT: The bagel was still bad, but I think the owner's responses to people's bad reviews are funny. I remember how kind the last owners were LOL. The staff here is very kind, I admit and I will try the restaurant again and post if the other bagels are better. Keep ya posted.

This is my second time dining here and it was once again a great experience! - The quantity of food for the price is unmatched. - The quality of the food is good. it's not the greatest I've ever eaten, but it's lovely in its simplicity. - The interior is cute in a quaint way. it feels very much like a hometown favorite. - The staff is very friendly. I won't beat around the bush: Bageland blows Luke's out of the water. Personally, I prefer these bagels to Luke's. I know that's subjective. But objectively, Bageland is better because it has an indoor dining space, is way cheaper for more food, and doesn't get insanely slammed all the time. You're not baking in the sun for 30 minutes to enjoy a bagel. This is now my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville. It's not fancy, it's not innovative, it's not trendy. It's just plain good food served at great prices by friendly people who've been working here for a long time. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some delicious carbs.

Great breakfast, smiles, coffee, atmosphere, sandwiches, salads, secret Asian food on days that begin with a T, and of course bagels. A true Gainesville institution. Family owned and operated for almost 50 years (check out the sign on the wall for a yearly update). I agree with a previous reviewer: it's called "Bagleland" but should be called "Bagelandsomuchmore" The Beyond Bagleland write up in Atrium Magazine gives a good history of this business.

We discovered this place when we saw it on Google Maps while looking for our pool supply place hours. We are so glad we found it. They have been in business for 48 years! The bagels are very fresh. Not stale or hard or too chewy that you have to rip it apart to get a bite. The outside is just crisp enough and the inside is light and fluffy. I got a toasted salt bagel (not many places make salt bagels so I was thrilled) with jalapeño spread and my husband got a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagels were delivered very quickly to our table. They were split in half and the spreads were thickly spread on BOTH sides of the bagel. Also the salt and the everything seasonings were on the top and bottom. Perfection. The coffee was good too. There was a nice, polite young man who served us. He engaged us in conversation without holding anyone up. Just about all of the tables were full on a Sunday around 10:30 am. I met the owners too. They thanked me for coming in. Very...
