Thank you Subway of Gainesville for being the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in many many years. Customer service, does not exist at this restaurant and while I enjoy the food at Subway, I will NEVER visit this location again!! I have been a restaurant manager for 20 plus years and go out of my way to encourage return business from every customer. Here’s the breakdown… My father and I entered the business to no welcome, no smile and no hospitality. Might as well have walked into a morgue. I explained to the expressionless woman behind the counter that I’d forgotten my 3 for 17.99 coupon at home in our rush to leave the house. She directed us to a table to place the order on line to get any kind of a deal…fine, understood, my mistake. While we placed our order online I notified the same expressionless employee that there were no paper towels in the restroom to which with no apology nor eye contact for that matter she simply handed me napkins. Again, not really that big of a deal in and of itself. Once we placed the online order we were reviewing the order and noticed condiments on one of our sandwiches that weren’t ordered so I approached the expressionless employee once again to ensure our order was correct to which she told me to wait until she had the printed copy of our receipt. Again fine, our fault for not correcting the order in the app before the order was placed. My chief complaint came when my father went to the counter to show the again expressionless employee our order to which she pointed out rather curtly that he had made a mistake and set a pickup time for 6:30 and it was only 4:15. We could wait until 6:30 or cancel the order and try again because they couldn’t make the order early because we might come back at 6:30 and pick up our order twice as if writing a personal note stating that the order was already made was way too difficult. Being portrayed as dishonest is a little harsh. As I was leaving your restaurant disgusted and without food, the expressionless employee finally brightened up and told me to have a nice day as sarcastically as she could emuster.
If this female employee is a manager and the face of your restaurant, I’m sorry that she has ruined any chance that I will ever visit your location on Brown’s Bridge Rd ever again. Even though most convenient, I will drive out of my way to avoid this location. I’m not looking for anything for free and I really don’t care if I’m contacted back I simply hope this review hits the right ears and that some degree of training occurs. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR POOR CUSTOMER...
Read moreLol... is... is this a joke?! I walked into the Browns Bridge Subway on 08/02/2019 at around 6:15. There was a black woman, a Latino couple, and then myself. The person manning the floor was an African American gentleman. The Latino couple informed me that at least 10 customers had left due to not being served and that they had been there an hour. Believing it to be a gross exaggeration, I waited. 10 minutes or so elapsed. The black woman stated she only wanted cookies. He got them for her, and she left. Another family of Latinos showed up. I politely asked the worker if he was waiting on help. I was told Itd be just a minute. I asked again, “are you waiting for some help or will you be serving people? Or are you only able to stock the bar?” “It’ll be just a minute”. The second family of Latinos left. A Latino woman came in. “Just a minute” turned into another 10-15 minutes. The newest Latino woman politely asked him if he was going to help the customers. After telling her it’d be just a minute, he ignored any further questions. I literally watched this man bake cookies (some of which he touched with bare hands), fill mayonnaise bottle after mayonnaise bottle, step into the cooler, step out of the cooler, play with the wax paper, and outright ignore customers. I’m not a belligerent person, but was this a race thing? Of the near 10 customers that were there at once, 90 percent of them of Hispanic descent, only the black woman was paid mind to or received her order. Were it not for trying to make a church service, I would have pulled up a chair and waited in line just to see how this all panned out. (though according to other Google reviewers, I can deduce that no one was served today). He would have made the store more money if he would have just shut it all down instead of continuing to assert it’d be “just a minute”. If he was not an employee that was on his way out of this job, which I suspect he was, I would advocate for some serious training, if not severance altogether. I’m simply...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if there was possible. On 6/2/2019 my husband and I arrive around 5:45 there were two customer in front on me, what I believe there have been waiting for a while too so I stood there watching him make the orders, he was so slow on everything he even cut the spinach in half the bell peppers too, So he finished with that order . I was next, it was already 6:20 and have been there more than what I expected He was just checking on the things that he was missing but he never came to attend me THE ONLY THING THAT HE WAS SAYING WAS "JUST A MINUTE" many people came and left because they didn't saw him working just moving around side to side. This lady asked for some cookies he gave it to her then he started to put on the oven some cookies . The cookies were burning he just was hitting the pan so they won't get burn this other lady was calling the service customer she put it on speaker so he would hear that she was calling . After been waiting for TWO HOURS in there we decided to leave just when the door ring he just said "Welcome to Subway" If Subway wants to make profit they should put more people in the restaurant and pay it more better because that's why they don't last in there .I Don't even know why they said they are HIRING...
