You're gonna need another napkin.
These bagel sandwiches truly are a "hot mess" like the bag proclaims but trust me, you are gonna want to get on in there to enjoy every bite.
I ran in to Sully's for a to-go order around 7 o'clock on a weeknight. The restaurant was very clean and cheery with plenty of seating. Staff were great, helpful with the menu as this was my first time in. I loved the young woman behind the counter's enthusiasm for the variety of bagel sandwiches.
There are so many options! It was tough to choose but if you come here with picky eaters, you WILL be able to find something they are into. From traditional bagel sandwich fare like Reubens and salmon, to chicken salad, Italian sandwiches with pepperoni or meatballs and marinara, an array of breakfast type sandwiches (which they serve all day) with ingredients like eggs and bacon...you will find something to get excited over.
I went with the classic Reuben and their holiday seasonal sandwich, The Sticky Bandit - named after Marv from Home Alone.
First, I LOVE a steamed bun, whether hotdogs or burgers so I am definitely the right audience for Sully's. These steamed bagels are Aaaaamazjng. Big and hot and soft and chewy. When I took my first bite, I was so excited that it was everything I hoped for.
I took my sandwiches to go and it was a good 25 minutes before I ate them. Wrapped in aluminum foil, they stayed hot the whole time!
The Rueben on a sesame bagel was stacked with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and creamy, tangy 1,000 Island dressing. Delicious, filling, a solid classic bagel sandwich.
The Sticky Bandit? Oh my gosh, go get one while you still can, you do not want to have to wait a year to try it. This is a sweeter sandwich on a French toast bagel, perfect for breakfast or dessert! Ham, egg, bacon, and Swiss cheese. PRALINE cream cheese, and a touch of maple mustard. The flavors were perfection. I'm salivating just thinking about it.
I wanted to save some to share with my husband but they were SO good. Once I started eating I was like "Well, they won't be as good if they are really cold....I'll just have to take him there for something fresh!" And that's how I justified eating them both (and feeling really overstuffed afterward.)
With such a wide array of bagel sandwiches to choose from, I know I will be back for more. I'm already leaning toward the Nacho Maximus with turkey, cheddar, honey mustard, Parmesan peppercorn dressing...

What in the world did I just eat đ€Ż I'm officially a STEAMER BELIEVER!! Shout out to the owner/operator Chris for being very kind and checking in on me and thanks to the other Chris as well for being friendly and being excited about me trying your sandwiches.
Sullys Steamers is located in Gainesville right next door to the Wild Wing Cafe. They have an open large space with plenty of room to sit and good parking outside. They have a fun menu, a good team, and most importantly... some impressive SANDWICHES, as Chris said. This isn't just some bagel spot, it's a delicious SANDWICH shop, and boy oh boy is Gainesville lucky to have them!!
Check them out ASAP and let me know what you think! They just opened this week on Monday and they're excited to serve all sandwich/bagel lovers.
Check out my Roli Eats Instagram page for my quick video on this awesome spot.
Edit: I went back and had their Sticky Bandit on a French toast bagel. It was delicious!! Photos updated

5 month update: Their bagels never disappoint!! The staff is always super friendly and I haven't had a bagel that I didn't like đ My newest favorite is their meatball (picture added) B-RAD'S BEST bagel (I had it on a jalapeño cheddar bagel). It's so good, and the banana peppers make it the perfect combination đ Be sure to stop by and get you some steamed bagels if you haven't checked...
Read moreMy husband, Bill, and I (Cassandra)were able to get an early taste of Sully's Steamers and we were not disappointed. Parking was great especially in the downtown area and there are three entrances into the parking lot. Upon walking through the door we were welcomed in and asked if we had been prior. We had not, so the young man handed us a menu and gave us an overview of Sully's. We then proceeded to the counter to order. I asked for suggestions and settled on the Grizwold my husband on B-Rad's Best. We both wanted the Asiago Cheese Bagel with our sandwiches which was a great choice. We both got a combo with chips and a drink. We also got a huge chocolate chip cookie to share! The sandwiches were amazingly flavorful and delicious. You might want to cut in four like I did because it is not a skimpy sandwich. My husband was excited they open at 7:00 for stops on the way to work. Chris and Amy, the owners, checked on us and welcomed us like family. Go, and try it now, like today, you will not be...
