Placed a delivery order yesterday for my wife and I and, as I usually do when trying a new place, ordered so much food I just finished the leftovers today.
The Meatball Parm hero was fantastic. Not hyperbole to say it was the best meatball parmesan sub I've had in a very long time. Also got a CapoRegime with ham added. Incredible. The rolls with both subs were fantastic. Pillowy and hold up to the ingredients well. The Capo was just as good, if not better, than when it was ordered yesterday after the roll had a chance to absorb some of the flavors.
My wife got a bagel breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese) which she said was great.
My kids, including my youngest who is anything but food adventurous, saw me polishing off the leftover Capo this evening and asked if we could get another delivery order from the same place soon. Instead we agreed we're going to stop by in person this weekend and grab an another order to take home.
Very happy to have Our Neighborhood Deli as an amazing option in a growing local food community and we're looking forward to our visit this weekend. Not to disparage any other delis in the area, because many are very good, but our experience so far with Our Neighborhood Deli and the variety of options and customization they have available puts it in our go to spot. Almost forgot, also got two of the NY hot dogs with chili and cheese (I have to try a chili dog at any place that has them available) and they were great. Great homemade chili. So glad to have a more local option when I get a chili...
Read moreVery slow service. It appears like their sandwich station can only accommodate 1 worker at a time. The prices are a bit high even for Kentlands. $40 for 2 specialty sandwiches without chips/drinks makes it one of the more expensive options for lunch in the Kentlands. The sandwiches are large and filling, but it's still not someplace I would go daily. The bread on the specialty sandwiches with coleslaw or other liquidy add-ons should be toasted. My sourdough was very soggy by the time I made it home (8 min). Website is not user friendly. In order to see the menu, you have to go to the "online ordering" section and click on each item to see what is in each sandwich. There isn't a PDF/pic of the entire menu anywhere. I hope that this place makes it as we need a good deli in the area. Hopefully a few small improvements will make this...
Read moreA Hidden Gem in Gaithersburg! I stopped by this neighborhood deli for lunch and was blown away by both the food and the service. The sandwiches are generously packed with fresh ingredients, and you can really taste the New York Deli quality in every bite. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced.
What really stood out, though, was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Gina is an Angel, She treated me like family, making sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find a spot where you feel both satisfied and cared for, but this deli delivers exactly that.
If you’re in Gaithersburg and craving a hearty, well-made Breakfast, lunch, Brunch or whatever meal you are in the mood for, this is the place to go. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop here—you...
